MLB FanDuel Lineup for Thursday June 9th, 2016

Fanduel MLB WFBC 2016

The big bats around Major League Baseball will look to carry the load tonight for daily fantasy owners. Just a day after having a solid list of top tier fantasy options on the mound the list of options tonight all stand near each other as not one of the starters tonight is a sure lock to put up some big time production.

That being said this leads us to turn our fantasy attention to some of the games best hitters tonight. One of those hitters is Albert Pujols for the Los Angeles Angels, as he will look to help his team past the New York Yankees. Pujols enters tonight’s game  with hits in four of his last five games as well as eight of his last ten games showing some life for his FanDuel owners.

Tonight he will look to continue that success against Ivan Nova of the Yankees who he has hit well against in just 12 at bats. In those 12 at bats, Pujols has picked up four hits with two of those hits going for home runs. That success added with the way the ball fly’s at Yankee stadium makes him a great fantasy option tonight.

On the opposite side of the diamond tonight, Carlos Beltran is another player that looks to be a great fantasy option tonight. Beltran enters tonight’s game with hits in nine of his last ten games including six over his last three. In those three games Beltran has picked up at least 22.2 fantasy points in each contests while hitting home runs in each of those games.

FanDuel Hitters We Like On Thursday Night

Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds: The Reds longtime outfielder continues to swing a solid bat for the club this season. Through 54 games this season, Bruce has hit .284 with 13 home runs while driving in 41 runs. Tonight he will look to build on that success against Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals. Bruce has hit .308 in his career against the Cardinals starter with two home runs in 39 career at bats.

Ichiro Suzuki, Miami Marlins: Suzuki continues to put up hits in his career and that includes over his last three games where he has seven total hits in 14 at bats. While Suzuki might not be the threat he was when he entered the league he is still producing to warrant a fantasy start while providing fantasy teams with some salary cap relief. In his career Suzuki is 30 for 91 against Ervin Santana with 11 extra base hits.

Pitchers We Like On Thursday Night

Gio Gonzalez, Washington Nationals: The Nationals starter sits at the top of the list of fantasy starters tonight based on salary. That being said he has been shaky of late failing to reach 30 fantasy points in three straight games but will look to turn that around tonight against the Chicago White Sox. In his career Gonzalez has held the White Sox current hitters to just 15 hits in 76 at bats while striking out 15 batters.

Tom Koehler, Miami Marlins: Since the list of top tier fantasy starters is not present tonight fantasy owners will have all eyes on a few of the lesser known names to provide a big time fantasy performance. One starter we like tonight is Tom Koehler for the Miami Marlins. The Marlins starter has posted at least 24 fantasy points in six straight games as well as in eight of his last ten games. Tonight he will look to have some success against a Twins team that ranks 27th in runs batted in, 23rd in team OPS and 27th in runs scored.

The Stack List:

Edwin Encarnacion/ Jose Bautista/ Josh Donaldson, Toronto Blue Jays: For us this simply comes down to the matchup they have with Tyler Wilson of the Baltimore Orioles. Wilson has struggled this season allowing at least three earned runs in four straight games along with five home runs over his last five outings. Look for the Blue Jays to jump on him tonight while you could look to a few of their other teammates as cheaper alternatives as well.

Mark Trumbo/Jonathan Schoop/Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles: We could have easily thrown in Adam Jones or Manny Machado as well tonight. Another cheap alternative is to add in Hyn Soo Kim who has picked up hits in eight of his last ten games. That being said tonight they will look to take advantage of a struggling Marcus Stroman who has yielded at least six earned runs in four of his last five outings.
