DraftKings Millionaire Maker Lineup for the U.S. Open

The 2015 PGA U.S. Open is just a few short days away as we all get ready to set our DraftKings lineup for a chance to win one million dollars. One thing we would like to remind everyone is to set your final lineup by the end of the night Wednesday unless you will remember to set it early on Thursday as the lineups lock at 10am Est.

Now that we got that out of the way lets get rolling on which PGA players we are looking at to build our roster of six golfers. As a golf fan we would all love to see Tiger Woods get out of the funk and in back in the win column. That being said we can’t pull ourselves to put him in the lineup as he has been inconsistent over the past few seasons.

Another player we would love to see win this event is Phil Mickelson. In the end we are deciding to pass up the opportunity to use him as well. Just imagine if daily fantasy golf like DraftKings existed when Tiger and Phil were dominating the links early in their careers.

Golfer 1 – Keegan Bradley ($7,700): Bradley has been active this season taking part in 15 tournaments. In those tournaments, Bradley has made the cut in 13 placing in the top 25 seven times with three of those coming in the top 10. While Bradley has yet to finish in the top three spots he does consistently make the cut each week including an eighth place finish at the Memorial Tournament the first week of June.

Golfer 2 – Ryan Moore ($7,500): Moore is the biggest gamble we were willing to risk as we went with a much more conservative approach. That being said, Moore has been averaging nearly 69 fantasy points a game on DraftKings. Moore is currently ranked 21st in the 2015 FedEx Standings entering this tournament. Overall, Moore has eight top 25 finishes as well as three top 10 finishes with one win.

Golfer 3 – Brooks Koepka ($7,800): One name that I have been following for a little while now is Brooks Koepka especially since he has put in some time at Chambers Bay earlier in the spring. Koepka will also enter the U.S. Open on a positive note after finishing tied for third last weekend at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.

Golfer 4 – Bubba Watson ($9,400): While Watson has only appeared in eight events this year, he has made the cut in each of those events. In those events, Watson has posted a top 25 score in 10 of them along with one first place finish, one second place finish and one third place finish. Watson hasn’t played in a tournament since the Players Championship in May.

Golfer 5 – Patrick Reed ($8,500): Before you go switching picks take a minute to look up Patrick Reed. Reed is currently ranked 5th in the FedEx Cup standings along with being the 15th ranked golfer in the world. Reed has a first place finish to go with a second place finish in his 17 events this year. Reed is also very consistent in playing four days of golf making the cut in 16 of those events.

Golfer 6 – Jimmy Walker ($9,100): Much like Reed, we like the success Walker has had this year. Walker is ranked second in the FedEX Cup standings and 11th overall in the World entering the US Open. In 15 events this year, Walker has finished first twice, second twice along with a total of six total top 10 finishes. Walker has also made the cut in 14 of his 15 events played this year.

While a gamble might pay off this week we stayed with the golfers who are consistent in making cuts to land six golfers who will be around to compete on Sunday.
