Quarterbacks:

The QB decision this week depends on if you choose to pay up at the position or take advantage of the price break below $6000.  Tom Brady and Cam Newton are the top prices at the position but look at the Cincinnati/Pittsburgh game with that high over/under and both QBs are just as good and save you salary.  Andy Dalton $6600 and Ben Roethlisberger $6800 could end up in a shootout but from the looks of things that Pittsburgh pass offense is firing on all cylinders with all three WRs as possible GPP stack options.  Blake Bortles is in a good spot right at that $6000 threshold vs Indianapolis which was shredded last week by Pittsburgh.  Bortles has back to back 300 yard games and has thrown 7 TD passes over the last two games.  But under $6000 are a bunch of guys who save salary and are in good spots: Tyrod Taylor $5400, Jameis Winston $5500, Ryan Fitzpatrick $5400, and Brian Hoyer $5200.  Winston faces the New Orleans Saints and has a high possibility of a multi TD game with all his pass catching threats back in the fold.  New Orleans has been torched by everyone for big yardage and big scoring totals so this is a confidence play.  Ryan Fitzpatrick is also in a good spot and has been the model of consistency.  He has been over 18 fantasy points per game in his last 8 games and faces a Titans Defense who was exposed by Blake Bortles last week.

Running Backs:

There is just no reason to go up and pay over $7000 for a RB.  Let’s present two tiers.  In the upper tier your options include Thomas Rawls $5800, Jonathan Stewart $5800, LeSean McCoy $6100, Doug Martin $6200, and Lamar Miller at $5700.  Stewart can exploit an Atlanta defense that has surrendered the 4th most fantasy points to the RB position over the last 4 weeks.  If Narrative Street is your thing play McCoy vs his old team this week when he takes on the Philadelphia Eagles.  The Eagles have allowed 244 total yards per game over their last 3 games to opposing RBs so McCoy is also in a great spot.  Thomas Rawls has averaged over 25 touches per game since Marshawn Lynch went out due to injury.  Seattle is running the ball over 53% of the time during that stretch which is tops in the league.  The bottom tier of RB options include Shaun Draughn $4800, Charcandrick West $5100, Javorius Allen $5300, and James White $4100.  Draughn has the combination of a high snap percentage, PPR option, and great matchup that makes his price very difficult to pass up.

Wide Receiver:

WRs can be found at every price point this week but the two guys at the top of the list have great matchups.  Odell Beckham Jr $9100 takes on the Miami Dolphins defense and their leaky secondary.  Beckham is averaging 14.5 targets in his last 4 games and some highlight reel catches that make your jaw drop.  Antonio Brown $8900 at Cincinnati has that shootout potential and Brown is averaging over 10 catches for 148 yards and 1.25 TDs over his last 4 games.  He has the highest projected points at the WR position this week.  AJ Green $ 7900 is in a good spot on the other sideline in that Pitt/Cincy game and you can even get some exposure to the game by fitting Marvin Jones $4200 into your lineup.  Sammy Watkins $6100 has the big play ability to score vs an Eagles that has allowed 20 passing TDs this year.  Brandon Marshall $7600 has 70 targets since week 8 and averaging over 2 red zone targets per game over that span.  Allen Robinson $8000 saw a price increase after his 10 catch, 153 yard, 3 TD performance last week  and Allen Hurns $5500 is back and he has scored in 7 of his last 9 games.  A favorite this week is Cecil Shorts $3600 who saw 10 targets last week.  Houston plays home vs New England so they will need to score via the pass.  Coach Belicheck game plans to eliminate the biggest offensive threat so expect to see Malcolm Butler shadow DeAndre Hopkins with physical coverage at the line of scrimmage and help over the top.  That should allow Shorts and Washington the room to get open this week for Houston.

Tight End:

We have TE options at various price points as well this week.  Greg Olsen $6900, Delanie Walker $5600, Julius Thomas $4200, Zach Miller $2700 and Will Tye $2800.  Delanie Walker has been supper consistent with Marcus Marriota which has blossomed into a very productive QB/TE scoring option with PPR value as well.  Zach Miller finds himself in a great spot this week with the injury to Bennett so he steps in as the #1 TE and possibly the #2 pass catching threat alongside Alshon Jeffrey.  Will Tye is averaging 5 catches and 67 yards the last 3 weeks filling in for the injured Donnell which pays off his price in PPR formats.

Defense/Special Teams:

Take a look at Kansas City $3200, Denver $3400, Carolina $3400, Seattle $3500, and Philadelphia $2500.  The defensive/special teams TD everyone covets has been increasingly difficult to find.  Philadelphia has shown the ability to score TDs with these units as well as sack the QB but they give up lots of points.  Kansas City is in a good spot vs San Diego.  Philip Rivers is dealing with injuries to his pass catchers, the San Diego OL is banged up and not performing well, and Melvin Gordon has been turnover prone with his fumbling issues.
