FanDuel MLB Lineup for Tuesday July 28

The Major League Baseball is in full swing on Tuesday as all 30 teams are in action for FanDuel owners to cash in on. The list of matchups includes a few of the games top starters including David Price, Jose Fernandez and Sonny Gray. For Price this could be a key start to determine whether or not the Detroit Tigers will make a push to trade him before the All-Star break.

This could be fuel for Price to push himself to throw another gem as we have come to see from him at times. Add in the fact he has four straight games with at least 13 fantasy points and he makes a valid case to be our fantasy starter on FanDuel. Price has also posted at least double digits in eight of his last 10 overall starts for his fantasy owners.

While Price is the top option on the mound, Fernandez is another solid option for the Miami Marlins. Since rejoining the Marlins rotation, Fernandez has posted four straight games with double digits including a 20 point contest. In three of his four starts he also picked up the win helping his fantasy stats.

At the plate a few of the key fantasy plays we like on FanDuel include Matt Holliday, Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun. Holliday for his career is hitting .385 with four extra base hits and seven runs driven in off of Mike Leake in 39 at bats. Braun is 9 for 25 for his career off of Matt Cain while Fielder has two career home runs off of Chris Capuano.

Here is our FanDuel MLB lineup for Tuesday July 28th, 2015.

P – James Sheilds ($9,300): While we could have easily went with a few of the other big names on the hill on Tuesday we elected to go with the San Diego Padres starter. Shields has a favorable matchup against a New York Mets team that has struggled to score runs at times during 2015. Add in the fact the team is hitting just .155 off of him during 110 at bats makes him even a bigger fantasy option.

C – Jonathan Lucroy ($2,900): We debated using a few different options at the catcher position including Caleb Joseph for the Baltimore Orioles before landing with Lucroy. The Milwaukee Brewers catcher is 6 for 18 off of Matt Cain with a home run.

First Base – Chris Carter ($3,000): Despite liking Fielders matchup tonight, we elected to go with the Houston Astros first baseman Chris Carter. Carter is a home run threat any time he heads to the plate. Add in his .333 career average off of CJ Wilson in 27 at bats makes him a nice option.

Second Base – Brandon Phillips ($2,500): Phillips is a perfect option at second base and carries a great value at $2,500. The Cincinnati Reds second baseman is riding a nine game hitting streak. Phillips is 13 for 41 for his career with two home runs and eight runs driven in against Jaime Garcia.

Third Base – Josh Donaldson ($4,700): Some nights you really don’t need an explanation to go with one of the best power hitters in the game. Tonight is one of them as the Toronto Blue Jays host the Philadelphia Phillies at the Rogers Centre. Donaldson is riding back to back solid fantasy performances for his fantasy owners.

Short Stop – Ian Desmond ($3,100: The Washington Nationals short stop has been red hot of late hitting .478 over his last seven games. In that stretch, Desmond picked up four home runs to go with seven runs driven in and one stolen base.

Outfielder – Brandon Moss ($2,600): Moss is a FanDuel bargain on Tuesday at just $2,600. The Cleveland Indians outfielder has four home runs in 17 career at bats against Kansas City Royals starter Chris Young.

Outfielder – Jonny Gomes ($2,300): Much like Moss, Gomes is one of those fantasy plays based off his previous success against Ubaldo Jimenez. The Atlanta Braves outfielder has seven hits in 19 career at bats including three home runs. The move to go cheap hear opens up a few big options at other positions.

Outfielder – Jose Bautista ($4,400): We always love to use the Toronto Blue Jays when they are at home. That is the case Tuesday Night so we elected to add both Donaldson and Bautista to our lineup.
