FanDuel MLB Lineup for Tuesday June 16th

The Major League Baseball schedule delivers us a ten game lineup to build our lineups around on FanDuel tonight. The lineup of games include a few solid options on the mound as well a few FanDuel bargains who could turn your lineup into some cash during GPP tournaments.

A few of those top starters include Matt Harvey for the New York Mets, Jake Arrieta for the Chicago Cubs, Garrett Richards for the Los Angeles Angels and Trevor Bauer for the Cleveland Indians. Of those none of them stand out as a sure lock to help dominate tonight.

That being said, Arrieta is coming off back to back starts posting at least 15 fantasy points as well as double digit fantasy numbers in five of his last six ball games. The Cubs starter was slated to the start the teams contest on Monday but after being postponed had his start push back till today.

For us the question we like to look at when selecting a pitcher is what type of percentage will that player be used in that night. We expect Harvey as well as Arrieta to be featured in a high percentage of FanDuel MLB lineups tonight.

Here is our MLB FanDuel lineup for Tuesday June 16th, 2015.

P – Chris Tillman ($6,500): The Baltimore Orioles ace has struggled all season long but tonight he should be a great fantasy play against a struggling Philadelphia Phillies team. Tillman’s teammate Wei-Yin Chen pitched eight scoreless innings in game one of the series on Monday.

C – Salvador Perez ($2,600): Sticking with the Kansas City Royals catcher tonight after another two hit performance on Monday Night. Perez has five multi-hit games over his last eight contests. Another option would be Matt Wieters but we aren’t 100 percent sure he will be in the lineup tonight for the Orioles

First Base – Miguel Cabrera ($5,300): The Detroit Tigers first baseman has been swinging a hot bat of late. Over his last four contests, Cabrera has posted at least 3.5 fantasy points in each game while hitting two home runs and driving in eight runs.

Second Base – Addison Russell ($2,500): Russell hasn’t quite hit like fellow prospect Kris Bryant since his call up. That being said the Cubs second baseman is riding a six game heat streak helping him get his bat into rhythm. We also like Omar Infante tonight as the Royals play at Miller Park.

Third Base – Joey Gallo ($3,200): The Texas Rangers are attempting to find Gallo a spot in the lineup on a nightly basis including a spot start in the outfield on Monday. Gallo has the power potential to hit one out on any night of the week especially when the Rangers are playing at home.

Short Stop – J.J. Hardy ($2,200): Riding the Orioles short stop for another start simply based on his fantasy value at $2,200. If we don’t see some power soon we will back away but he has put up over 20 home runs in multiple seasons.

Outfielder – Nolan Reimold ($2,400): We had a few options in this pick as we could have stayed in the low $4k range for all three spots or go cheap. We elected to go with the Orioles outfielder who has hit two home runs over his last five games.

Outfielder – Giancarlo Stanton ($5,300): Stanton has cooled down some what failing to connect on a home run in either of the last two games. That being said, Stanton has four games over his last eight with at least 9.25 fantasy points.

Outfielder – Andrew McCutchen ($4,500): We tossed around a few options here including Adam Jones, Jose Bautista and Ryan Braun. We stuck with McCutchen as he has seen his bat come alive over the past few weeks. Now if the ball can start leaving the yard his fantasy owners would be rewarded with some big time production.
