FanDuel MLB Lineup for Tuesday September 22

Fanduel MLB 728x90

The football season has set in but that won’t stop us from cashing in on some MLB action on FanDuel. That includes tonight as we are slated for a full lineup of Major League Baseball action around the country as all 30 clubs are in action. This includes a beltway battle between the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals.

Meanwhile up north the New York Yankees are in Toronto to take on the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. This is a key matchup for both clubs as each of these teams are fighting for a playoff spot while one of them will walk away with the American League East crown.

As we start to look at tonights lineup of games the only question mark we have is which of the starters will be the fantasy stud of the night? Of the 30 MLB starters taking the hill the only top tier starter on that list is Jake Arrieta for the Chicago Cubs. Arrieta and the Cubs welcome the Milwaukee Brewers to Wrigley Field in a game that should be a home team win.

That being said our worries are with how many other fantasy owners will be electing to go with the Cy Young Candidate. Then you have his high salary at $12,300 that also limits what we can do with the rest of our MLB FanDuel lineup on this Tuesday.

Here is our FanDuel MLB Lineup for Tuesday September 22nd, 2015.

Starting Pitcher – Logan Verrett ($6,300): Looking for a cheap Fantasy Sleeper landed us with the New York Mets starter. We like the Mets tonight against the Atlanta Braves adding some extra value for Verrett. Verrett has made a few starts this season including posting a 19 point fantasy start back in August.

Other Fantasy Starting Pitching Options include Hector Santiago, Jake Arrieta and Alex Wood.

Catcher – Matt Wieters ($2,200): While the Orioles catcher continues to return to form after Tommy John surgery last season he has struggled. That being said Wieters is a great Fantasy Play against Gio Gonzalez tonight. In his career Wieters is 10 for 17 off Gonzalez with one career home run.

Other Fantasy Catcher Options include Brian McCann, Victor Martinez, Dustin Garneau and Miguel Montero.

First Base – Miguel Cabrera ($4,100): As we built our lineup we could go a bunch of different directions with our salary. In the end we loved Cabreras matchup against Jose Quintana of the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday Night.

Other Fantasy First Base Options include David Ortiz, Pedro Alvarez and Edwin Encarnacion.

Second Base – Brian Dozier ($2,700): Riding the past success landed us with the Minnesota Twins second baseman. Dozier has hit Danny Salazar well in his career picking up eight hits in 15 at bats with two home runs.

Other Fantasy Second Base Options include Robinson Cano, Daniel Murphy and Jonathan Schoop.

Third Base – Nolan Arenado ($4,800): This might have been one of the easier decisions we have made today. The Rockies third baseman is putting together an MVP campaign together with much of the damage coming at home at coors Field.

Other Fantasy Third Base Options include Manny Machado, Josh Donaldson and Alex Rodriguez.

Short Stop – Jordy Mercer ($2,800): We could go a bunch of different directions at short stop but elected to go with the Pittsburgh Pirates starter. Mercer and the Pirates will continue their series against the Colorado Rockies at hitter friendly Coors Field. Mercer picked up four hits on Monday while finishing with 9.75 fantasy points.

Other Fantasy Short Stop Options include Jose Reyes, Didi Gregorius and Addison Russell.

Outfielder – Carlos Beltran ($3,400): We could have went a lot cheaper here with another Fantasy Sleeper allowing us to stack the final two spots on the roster. In the end we like Beltran’s matchup in Toronto against Marco Estrada tonight.

Outfielder – Carlos Gonzalez ($4,300): The Rockies outfielder is one of those players you like to have in your lineup when he is playing at Coors Field. If Gonzo can get hot tonight he has the power to carry you to cash on FanDuel.

Outfielder – Kyle Schwarber ($4,100): The Cubs young lineup continues to play like a playoff caliber team. Tonight they have a very bad Brewers team at home in a game we expect some runs to be scored by the Cubs lineup.

Other Fantasy Outfielder Options include Bryce Harper, Gregory Polanco, Mookie Betts, Jose Bautista, Brett Gardner, Mike Trout, George Springer and Gerardo Parra.
