FanDuel MLB Lineup for Wednesday July 22

The week is moving along as we get set to take home some cash on FanDuel tonight. After a terrific night of baseball that featured all 30 Major League Baseball teams in action today will be a little more limited. In all only 16 teams are in action tonight after some afternoon baseball and routine days off.

That being said the fantasy options are solid across the board including a few solid options on the mound including Jose Fernandez for the Miami Marlins. Fernandez who has made just three starts this season after recovering from Tommy John surgery has posted double digit performances in each start.

While Fernandez is a great option another great option on paper is Sonny Gray verse the Toronto Blue Jays. Despite being second in the American League in earned run average at 2.29 or fourth in the league with 10 wins. We do not like his matchup tonight against a powerful Blue Jays lineup that can score some runs.

That leaves Fernandez as one of the top options along with starters Lance Lynn against the Chicago White Sox and Anibal Sanchez against the Seattle Mariners. Each of these two teams have struggled at times to score runs this season. Then you have a play like Robbie Ray for the Arizona Diamondbacks which will save you some extra cash.

Here is our MLB FanDuel lineup for Wednesday July 22nd , 2015.

P – Robbie Ray ($7,100): Ray is a nice sleeper option tonight at just $7,100 compared to some of the more expensive options. The Diamondbacks starter is coming off back to back double digit fantasy performances. Tonight he will get a shot at a Miami Marlins team that has scored three or fewer runs in four of their five contests after the All-Star break.

C – Matt Wieters ($2,600): Before securing the Baltimore Orioles catcher in  your lineup tonight we recommend monitoring their lineup. Wieters had only played one back to back set prior to the All-Star break. That being said he has hit Ivan Nova well in his career picking up 11 hits in 31 at bats including four home runs and seven runs batted in.

First Base – Chris Davis ($3,400): Looking at the options at first base tonight opened up a few options. In the end we like left handers hitting at Yankee Stadium and Davis fits the bill. Davis is hitting .333 off of a Nova in his career with three home runs and ten runs driven in.

Second Base – Tyler Saladino ($3,000): Saladino is a nice option at second base and currently riding a hot streak. The Chicago White Sox second baseman is currently riding a seven game hitting streak including home runs in back to back games.

Third Base – Kyle Seager ($2,700): Seager has been hot over his last ten games for the Mariners failing to pick up a hit in just one game. In five of those, Seager registered at least two hits while picking up at least four games with at least four fantasy points.

Short Stop – Carlos Correa ($3,900): The Houston Astros short stop is the top option tonight among all players in action. Correa has hit in all four games after the All-Star break. In those four games, Correa has six hits in 14 at bats with two doubles, one home run and six runs driven in.

Outfielder – Torii Hunter ($3,000): Hunter is a great value play tonight for the Minnesota Twins. The Twins outfielder has 11 career hits in 36 at bats against C.J. Wilson with two home runs, eight runs driven in and 10 walks.

Outfielder – J.D. Martinez ($4,200): One of the hottest hitters in baseball is a great option any night of the week on FanDuel. Martinez hit his 27th home run of the season last night to go with two runs batted in and three runs scored. Martinez is putting together his best season of his career and doing much of the damage without Miguel Cabrera in the lineup.

Outfielder – Jose Bautista ($4,900): Bautista is red hot entering Wednesday’s contest for the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays outfielder is riding three straight games with a home run while driving in four runs over the three games. Since the second half started, Bautista has scored a run in each game.
