FanDuel MLB Lineup for Wednesday, September 30th

Fanduel MLB $5 contest 728X90

The Major League Baseball action on FanDuel is still heating as the first week of October approaches. Last night was a good night for any fantasy owner that elected to go with Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw turned in another dominate start firing a one hit shut out helping secure the National League West crown.

This start is another key reason why so many fantasy owners elect to ride the top fantasy starter available. Along with Kershaw’s dominate start we also seen Jake Arrieta turn in a big time fantasy start in his last outing. Now with that being said tonight’s lineup of games lacks the top tier fantasy option we have seen over the past few days.

A few options for tonight’s lineup include Jon Lester for the Chicago Cubs, Scott Kazmir for the Houston Astros and Masahiro Tanaka. Along with deciding which fantasy starter to anchor our rotation we also had to monitor the weather situation across the country that has already rained out the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates contest.

Our MLB FanDuel lineup for tonight’s contests with a few options.

Starting Pitcher – Jordan Zimmerman ($9,200): We tossed around the idea of using the top option in Lester tonight. In the end we elected to go with the Washington Nationals starter as he is going up against the Atlanta Braves. Zimmerman has held the Braves to a .239 batting average over 159 career at bats.

Other top Fantasy FanDuel Starting Pitcher options include Jon Lester, Scott Kazmir and Drew Smyly.

Catcher – Salvador Perez ($2,200): As we started to build our FanDuel lineup we started consider a few FanDuel bargains that could help us cash in. Perez is 15 for 41 in his career with two seven extra base hits off of Jose Quintana of the Chicago White Sox.

Other top Fantasy FanDuel Catcher options include Yan Gomes, Brian McCann and Wilin Rosario.

First Base – Albert Pujols ($3,100): Pujols is one of those players that can carry a fantasy team any night of the week. Tonight, Pujols gets a chance to face off against Barry Zito who will be filling in for the injured Sonny Gray. Pujols is eight for 20 in his career off of Zito with three career home runs.

Other top Fantasy FanDuel First Base options include Joe Mauer, Freddie Freeman and Edwin Encarnacion.

Second Base – Jonathan Schoop ($2,200): We love to use the Baltimore Orioles second base man and despite the rainout yesterday we want him in our FanDuel lineup tonight. Schoop has the power to hit the ball out of the ball park any night of the week.

Other top Fantasy FanDuel Second Base options include Dustin Pedroia, Miguel Rojas, Dee Gordon and Jose Altuve.

Third Base – Mike Moustakas ($3,000): Along with Perez, Moustakas has hit Quintana well in his career. Moustakas is 11 for 35 in his career with a pair of home runs off of the White Sox starter.

Other Top Fantasy FanDuel Third Base options include Justin Turner, Nolan Arenado and Brett Lawrie.

Short Stop – Asdrubal Cabrera ($3,200): Cabrera is a solid fantasy FanDuel option tonight. Cabrera has been solid of late picking up a few multi hit games as well as a few home runs over the past ten games.

Other Top Fantasy FanDuel Short Stop options include Francisco Lindor, Carlos Correa and Didi Gregorius.

Outfielder – Andre Ethier ($2,800): Ethier is another FanDuel Bargain tonight against the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers outifielder has had great success against Mike Leake in his career including picking up a pair home runs in 18 career at bats.

Outfielder – Mike Trout ($4,800): We decided to run a pair of Los Angeles Angels tonight against the veteran Zito. If Zito struggles early the Angels middle of the lineup could have a big day.

Outfielder – Yoenis Cespedes ($4,400): Cespedes has been a key part to the New York Mets ability to clinch the National League East. Despite going hitless in his last game, Cespedes had been hot picking up hits in four straight games.

Other Top Fantasy Outfielder options include Kevin Pillar, Shin-Soo Choo, Aaron Altherr, Carlos Gonzalez and Jose Bautista.
