FanDuel NFL lineup for week 2 of the 2015 NFL Season

Fanduel NFL turn $25 into $1M 650X90

The fantasy football action was in full swing as Fantasy Owners took a shot at $1 million dollars last week. Now this week Fantasy Owners will look to do the same as FanDuel is giving out another top prize of $1 million dollars during their $5M NFL Sunday Million contest. If that isn’t enough you can also take your chances on DraftKings as they will be giving out a top prize of $2 million dollars to one lucky fantasy owner.

Heading into the first week no one knew exactly which players would put together big games while other players struggled. Much of that goes with the fact that no one knew exactly what each defense around the NFL might bring to the table. One of those cases was the San Francisco 49ers defense who allowed a league low three points with many experts predicting a Minnesota Vikings win.

Now we can all turn our attention to the second week of the NFL season as Sunday approaches. This week the big question is should we stack the lineup with players taking on teams that struggled there first week. One of those examples would be Teddy Bridgewater against a Detroit Lions team that allowed a league high 388 passing yards or Drew Brees against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that allowed four passing touchdowns to rookie Marcus Mariota.

Here is our FanDuel NFL lineup for week 2 of the 2015 NFL Season.

Quarterback – Drew Brees: Brees is one of those quarterbacks who has consistently put up bigger numbers at home. Add in the fact he will be facing a Buccaneers defense that struggled at times during week 1 has fantasy owners looking to cash in with him.

Other top Fantasy Quarterback options include Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan and Eli Manning.

Running Backs – Ameer Abdullah: We are going to keep riding the Lions rookie running back. While the reports are indicating that the team expects to use Abdullah in a similar role as week 1 we completely disagree while expecting him to take over the feature role as soon as this week.

Running Backs – Bishop Sankey: Heading into last season we were high on the Tennessee Titans rookie running back. Sankey was one year late as he showed up with a big time week 1 fantasy performance racking up 21.6 points on FanDuel.

Other top Fantasy Running Back options include Adrian Peterson, Chris Ivory (Monitor Injury Report) and Marshawn Lynch.

Wide Receivers – Steve Smith: After a somewhat disappointing first week we expect the long time veteran to bounce back in week 2. We like the Baltimore Ravens matchup against an Oakland Raiders team that struggled to slow down the Cincinnati Bengals offense in week 1.

Wide Receiver – Antonio Brown: It is hard to not pick Brown each week till he shows he is slowing down. The high price tag has us a limited at the second and third wide receiver position. Look for Brown to put together another big game in week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Wide Receiver – Terrance Williams: Williams has shown signs of being a top flight receiver in the NFL. That will have to be the case for the next few weeks if not the rest of the season with Dez Bryant out with an injury. We are going to ride the Williams bandwagon heading into week 2.

Other top Fantasy Wide Receiver options include Brandin Cooks, Nelson Agholor, Mike Wallace, Torrey Smith and Larry Fitzgerald.

Tight End – Tyler Eifert: The Bengals tight end was high on our board last week but injury concerns had us worried. In the end Eifter paid off for his fantasy owners recording two touchdowns. Looking for the same opportunities against the San Diego Chargers in week 2.

Other top Fantasy Tight End options include Rob Gronkowski, Jared Cook and Jordan Cameron.

Kicker – Matt Prater: Looking at the matchups and locations landed us with the Lions kicker. Prater connected on all four extra points last week but anytime you play in this offense the kicker should have an opportunity to product some field goals.

Other top Fantasy Kicker options for week 2 include Justin Tucker, Dan Bailey and Steven Hauschka.

Defense – St. Louis Rams: While the Rams gave up some points last week we love their week 2 matchup against the Washington Redskins. Look for the Rams defense to have a big game this week in the Nations Capitals.

Other top Fantasy Defenses include the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers.
