Fanduel NHL Lineup for Thursday February 5th

fanduel-nhl11-300x250

Alexander Steen, T.J. Oshie look to find the net for fantasy owners against the Buffalo Sabres tonight. This was the first matchup we looked at tonight as the St. Louis Blues take on the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres enter tonight’s contest allowing the most fantasy points to opposing players than any other club on the ice.

In all fantasy owners have a nine game slate of action taken place around the NHL that also features some of the other top fantasy stars around the NHL. The other name that we like in tonight’s action is Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals.

Ovechkin enters tonight scoring at least six fantasy points or more in six of his last ten contests. In that same stretch Ovechkin has not failed to post a positive fantasy point performance in any of those contests with his lowest total coming in at 1.4 on January 27th.

Here is our complete NHL FanDuel lineup for February 5th.

Fanduel World Hockey Championship

LW – Alexander Steen ($8,300): We love Steen’s matchup against a Sabres team allowing the most fantasy points a game to opposing left wingers. Look for Steen to bounce back after his .5 fantasy performance in his last contest. Steen was coming off a 12.9 contest against the Washington Capitals.

LW – Alexanders Ovechkin ($9,300): The Washington Capitals left winger has been as hot as any player in the NHL over the last month. Ovechkins production on the ice earned him the NHL’s first start of the month for January.

RW – T.J. Oshie ($6,400): Oshie is in the same boat as his teammate against a Sabres team allowing the most fantasy points to the right wing position in the NHL. Despite struggling in his last game Oshie has still produced five games over his last ten contests with at least five fantasy points.

RW – Alexander Semin ($4,100): Semin is a buy low but high reward type of player who could help you win a GPP tournament. He has showed over this last ten games the ability to reward his fantasy owners with solid fantasy production.

C – Elias Lindholm ($4,200): Lindholm is one of the best bargains on FanDuel tonight as the Carolina Panthers take on the Arizona Coyotes.  The Coyotes enter this game allowing the second most fantasy points to the center position in the NHL.

C – Ryan Garbutt ($5,000): The Stars center has been solid over his last few games recording positive fantasy numbers in nine straight contests including four contests with over two fantasy points. We also liked Mike Ribeiro as well at this position.

D – John Carlson ($4,500): Carlson is another great play tonight against a Ottawa team allowing the fourth most fantasy points on the season to defenseman in the NHL. This was a tossup between him and Mike Green at the position so take your choosing.

D – Aaron Ekblad ($4,500): This was another play on a bargain side of the market after splurging on a few of the other higher priced players. Ekblad has been solid at times recording five contests with more than three fantasy points.

G – Braden Holtby (8,600): The Capitals goalie has been dominant between the pipes over his last three games allowing only one goal to go along with two shutouts. In his last ten games, Holbty has posted five contests with more than seven fantasy points.
