Fantasy Football Week 14 Preview

Drew Brees, Jarvis Landry headline top fantasy plays for week 14 of the NFL. Brees and the New Orleans Saints look to keep their success alive after delivering a key road win during week 13. This week the Saints head to Carolina to take on a Panthers defense that has allowed 22 passing touchdowns on the season.

Brees has also come alive of late throwing for 12 touchdowns over his past four games including five against the Steelers last week. The 14th year veteran has nine games this season with at least two touchdown passes and six games with at least 300 yards passing.

Along with Brees, the rookie wide receiver out of LSU Jarvis Landry is a top option at the wide receiver position against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens secondary has been scorched over the past few weeks after losing Jimmy Smith to a season ending injury. The team also lost defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to a season ending suspension taking off some of the pressure up the middle on Ryan Tannehill.

Here are some of the other top fantasy plays around the NFL for week 14.

Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers and Gore enter this week licking their chops after watching the Oakland Raiders get smahsed by the St. Louis Rams 52-0 last week. The Raiders defense gave up over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and another touchdown reception to rookie running back Tre Mason.

Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions: Megatron is starting to look healthy and it showed on Thanksgiving against the Chicago Bears. This week the Lions host a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that has surrendered 16 touchdown receptions to opposing receivers including five in week six against the Baltimore Ravens.

Julian Edelman, New England Patriots: The Patriots head out west to take on the San Diego Chargers in week 14. Despite walking away with the win last week the Chargers allowed some plays to the wide receiver position including two touchdown passes to Torrey Smith who missed the games final two possessions with a knee injury.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots: Brady has put together another big season for fantasy owners and the production should continue this weekend against the Chargers. Entering this contest the Chargers defense has allowed 20 passing touchdowns but have only forced six interceptions something Brady has stayed away from this season.

Minnesota Vikings Defense/Special Teams: Cordarrelle Patterson is a key to this play along with the team’s week 14 matchup against the New York Jets. Last week the Jets offense was able to capitalize on the ground against the Dolphins but Geno Smith was basically non existent the entire game.

Here are some of the other top fantasy plays for week 14 that include Houston Texans Defense, Justin Tucker, Antonio Gates and Eddie Lacy.
