Fantasy Football’s Week #3 Preview

247 Drafts NFL BOMB PROMO

Ryan Tannehill will look to award fantasy owners in week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Tannehill has one of the more favorable matchups for quarterbacks on Sunday. The Chiefs defense has allowed 508 yards through the air along with five passing touchdowns.

The Dolphins may lean on the third year quarterback a little more in week 3 with running back Knowshon Moreno out of the lineup. Tannehill has had back to back subpar performances throwing for 178 yards with two touchdowns in week 1. A week later he followed it up with 241 yards with one touchdown.

Tannehill should have an opportunity to make some plays against a Chiefs secondary that has yet to force a turnover through two games. Here are some other great fantasy options for week 3 of the 2014 NFL season.

Top Fantasy Players For Week 3:

Stevan Ridley, Running Back: The New England Patriots running back has a team high 122 yards on 33 carries in the team’s first two games. Ridley should have a solid opportunity to produce for fantasy owners in week 3 against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders enter this game allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Andre Johnson, Wide Receiver: Johnson has been fairly quiet this season through two games pulling in 12 catches for 167 yards. This week could be the week for the Houston Texans wide receiver to break out against the New York Giants. The Giants enter this game having already allowed 23 receptions for 355 yards and two touchdowns.

Julius Thomas, Tight End: The Denver Broncos head to Seattle to face off in a Super Bowl rematch against the Seahawks. Thomas might be the only fantasy play to consider in this matchup as the Seahawks have allowed a league high three touchdowns to opposing tight ends.

Indianapolis Colts Defense: The Colts get the honor of playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 3. The Jaguars offense ranks dead last through two games with a total of 454 yard and are near the bottom in every major offensive category including rushing yards per game,  passing yards per game and points per game.

Trent Richardson, Running Back: Richardson is a little bit of a risk but could pay off with a big game against the Jaguars. Last weekend the Jaguars allowed 80 plus yards and two touchdowns to Alfred Morris.

Dennis Pitta, Tight End: Pitta is our sleeper of the week as the Baltimore Ravens head to Cleveland to take on the Browns. Look for Gary Kubiak to work Pitta into the offense after watching game film of how the New Orleans Saints used Jimmy Graham. Graham recorded 10 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Budget Pick Of The Week: John Brown, Arizona Cardinals

As you look to fill your roster the key is to find a stud that doesn’t cost much. That is the case with John Brown of the Arizona Cardinals this week. Brown’s FanDuel value is $4,500 despite the perfect matchup in week 3. The Cardinals take on an San Francisco 49ers defense that has allowed the second most touchdown receptions.
