MLB FanDuel Lineup for Saturday August 20th 2016

Fanduel general DFS 04-08-2016

The fantasy action in nearly full force on Saturday Night with a 13 game slate for FanDuel owners to build around. For us we are looking to a few key contests to build our lineups around while also watching the weather for a few top tier fantasy starters who may have some rain in their forecast.

One of the games we our turning our attention to is the Baltimore Orioles versus the Houston Astros contest at Camden Yards. The ball is flying out of the ball park in Baltimore as the two teams combined to pick up eight home runs in game 1 followed by followed by eight more in game 2 on Friday Night. While we suggest considering building a stack from this contest we also like the Chicago Cubs/Colorado Rockies contest at Coors Field.

Now on the mound we have a few solid options with Max Scherzer and Chris Sale both taking the hill for their respective clubs. The downside is both of those contests have 50 percent chance of rain in their forecast which could limit their innings of work if a delay takes place. We strongly suggest monitoring the forecast as the day moves along.

Here is the rest of the MLB options we like tonight on FanDuel to build our MLB lineup around.

MLB FanDuel Advice – Wednesday August 17th, 2016

Starting Pitcher

Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners: For us we are going to go with the third option as we know the rain will not play into the forecast in Seattle tonight. That being said Hernandez might be performing better than either of the first two as he has turned in 42, 42 and 50 fantasy points over his last three starts.

Other Starter Options we like include Chris Sale and Chris Tillman.

Fantasy Sleeper Option: Wily Peralta

Catcher

Brian McCann, New York Yankees: Only stat we really need to look at for this option tonight has been his power numbers against Ricky Nolasco. The Yankees catcher has eight career home runs off of the Los Angeles Angels starter in 65 career at bats.

Other Catcher Options we like include Evan Gattis, Caleb Joseph (Sleeper) and Russell Martin.

First Baseman

Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles: We are going to keep rolling our dice with the hot swinging bat of Davis. The Orioles first baseman has always been a hot/cold type of player and right now he is hot with home runs in three straight games.

Other First Base Options we like include Edwin Encarnacion, Billy Butler and Joe Mauer.

Second Baseman

DJ LeMahieu, Colorado Rockies: For us it is hard to pass up on the Rockies second baseman as he has posted double digit fantasy numbers in eight straight ball games. Add that with the fact that the club is at home at Coors Field adds value to his fantasy play.

Other Second Base Options we like include Brian Dozier, Ben Zobrist and Brandon Phillips.

Third Baseman

Chase Headley, New York Yankees: We could have easily gone with Nolan Arenado or Kris Bryant tonight but we are going with a cheaper option based on success. The Yankees third baseman is nine for 21 in his career off of Ricky Nolasco with one home run.

Other Third Base Options we like include Nolan Arenado, Manny Machado and Trevor Plouffe

Short Stop

Didi Gregorius, New York Yankees: Gregorius is another one of those options we are going to ride with based on his past success against Nolasco. In his career the Yankees short stop is hitting .526 over 19 at bats with three extra base hits.

Other Short Stop Options we like include J.J. Hardy, Javier Baez and Troy Tulowitzki.

Outfielder

Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies: We are going to continue to ride with Cargo when the Rockies play at home at Coors Field. That being said the Rockies outfielder returned to the lineup last night picking up two hits over five at bats giving fantasy owners something to look forward to for the rest of the series.

Melvin Upton, Toronto Blue Jays: Looking at matchups landed us with the Blue Jays outfielder against Josh Tomlin. The Cleveland Indians starter has struggled at times this season with giving up home runs and this could play a key role for our fantasy lineup tonight.

Mark Trumbo/Adam Jones: The ball is flying out of Camden Yards in this series as the Houston Astros/Baltimore Orioles have combined to hit 16 home runs over the first two series. That includes two blasts from Trumbo and one from Jones look for that to continue tonight.

Other Outfielder Options we like include Joc Pederson, Hyun Soo Kim, George Springer, Bryce Harper, Dexter Fowler and Miguel Sano.
