NFL Fantasy Sleepers for Week 9 of the 2016 Season

Fanduel NFL GENERAL 20-08-2016

The NFL Thursday Night Football Game is in the books opening up the countdown to another action packed Sunday of Football. For us though this just means another week of fantasy football action from season long leagues to daily fantasy action on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings.

Now for us the key to success for many of the top daily fantasy players comes with their ability to find that Fantasy Football Bargain or Fantasy Sleeper to cash in on. We have seen this type of production from various players this season and that trend should continue till the final whistle of the 2016 NFL Regular Season.

That being said the hardest of the position slots to find a Fantasy Sleeper is the quarterback position. That will be the same case this weekend as well as most of the solid fantasy options all carry a salary above the $8k mark while the other guys sitting below the options below the S7k mark is very thin.

With all that said here are some key Fantasy Sleepers for week 9 of the 2016 NFL Season.

Fantasy Sleepers – Quarterbacks

Nick Foles, Kansas City Chiefs: After bouncing around the past few seasons Foles now has a chance to take most of this opportunity. This includes going up against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that has struggled at times to slow down opposing teams. After filling in for Alex Smith last week after he left the game injured Foles threw for 223 yards with two touchdown passes.

Fantasy Sleepers – Running Back

Mike Davis & Shaun Draughn, San Francisco 49ers: If Carlos Hyde is scratched again this Sunday we suggest looking at each of these options. Now Davis will be the better option in standard fantasy leagues while Draughn would add some value in fantasy owners competing in PPR Leagues. Last week in Hyde’s absence Davis added a rushing touchdown while Draughn added one threw the air.

Kenneth Dixon, Baltimore Ravens: Here is our Deep Fantasy Sleeper of the Week  as we expect the Ravens to work him more into their game plan coming out of their bye week. This includes in the teams passing attack as they face off against a Pittsburgh Steelers team that has allowed 425 yards and three touchdown receptions to opposing running backs this season.

Other fantasy sleeper running backs for week 9 include Aaron Ripkowski (Red Zone Threat) and Cameron Artis-Payne.

Fantasy Sleepers – Wide Receivers

Darrius Heyward-Bey, Pittsburgh Steelers: We love this fantasy play as well as Sammie Coates if and only if Ben Roethlisberger is announced the starter for Sundays game against the Ravens. If that is the case we suggest considering both of these options as well as a top fantasy option in Antonio Brown against a Ravens team that has allowed a league high 13 touchdown receptions to the position.

Other fantasy sleeper wide receivers for week 9 include

Victor Cruz, New York Giants: Just a few seasons ago many had Cruz as the NFL’s top receiver. Fast forward to now and all we have seen have been inconstinces while Cruz has had his issues with injuries. With all that said we like him this weekend while we expect the Philadelphia Eagles to pay to much attention to Odell Beckham Jr.

Other fantasy sleeper wide receivers for week 9 include Brice Butler, Brian Quick and Tyreek Hill.

Fantasy Sleepers – Tight Ends

Jace Amaro, Tennessee Titans: After being claimed by the Titans prior their Thursday Night contest, Amaro showed up ready to play in a limited role. The former New York Jet tight end pulled in three catches for 59 yards. With the extra time to work with the Titans offense we expect Amaro to be a solid fantasy option in week 9.

Other fantasy sleeper tight ends for week 9 include Kyle Rudolph and Lance Kendricks.
