NHL FanDuel Lineup for Tuesday February 2nd, 2016

Fanduel NHL 650x80 22-12-2015

The second half of the 2015-16 NHL season hits the ice tonight opening the door for FanDuel owners to cash in. Tonight’s action includes 12 contests taking the ice that features a few of the top fantasy stars in the game. One of those options will not be Alexander Ovechkin who is suspended for the Washington Capitals game tonight due to an injury that cost him from playing in the NHL All-Star team.

That being said the options are still endless tonight including the Capitals goalie Braden Holtby. Holtby was hot during the first half including posting at least four fantasy points in seven of the last ten games the Capitals played in. Along with Holtby we also like T.J. Oshie, Nicklas Backstrom and Evgeny Kuznetsov from the Capitals.

While we liked to ride the Capitals prior to the break we have also decided to take a look at the favorable fantasy matchups tonight. One of those options includes the Edmonton Oilers left winger Taylor Hall going up against the Columbus Blue Jackets. On the other side Scott Hartnell is a solid left winger option for Blue Jackets against the Oilers. Each of these two teams rank one and two in fantasy points allowed to opposing left wingers entering tonight.

Here is our NHL FanDuel Lineup for Tuesday February 2nd, 2016.

LW – Taylor Hall ($7,800): While Hall didn’t produce down the stretch before the All-Star break forhis fantasy owners, he does however have one of the top fantasy matchups tonight at the left winger position.

LW – Scott Hartnell ($6,500): We love the matchup between these two teams at the left winger position. Entering the All-Star break, Hartnell had been on a roll producing at least four fantasy points in three of his last six games as well as at least 1.4 points in eight of the last ten games.

RW – Patrick Hornqvist ($5,900): Hornqvist is another top fantasy option tonight at the right winger position. The Pittsburgh Penguins option has posted at least four fantasy points in five of his last ten games. Add in the fact he is facing off against a Ottawa Senators team tonight that is allowing the fourth most points per game to opposing right wingers.

RW – Ryan Strome ($4,800): Looking at some cheap options landed us with Strome tonight. Strome is a hit or miss option but he had turned in at least two fantasy points in eight of his last ten games including two games with over six fantasy points.

C – Vincent Lecavalier ($4,100): Lecavalier is a very solid option despite being a FanDuel Bargain tonight. The Los Angeles Kings center has been a solid fantasy option before the break posting at least three fantasy points in six of the last ten games including back to back games.

C – Evgeny Kuznetsov ($7,300): With Ovechkin on the sidelines tonight the Capitals will need Kuznetsov as well as Backstrom to step up tonight. The Capitals center put together three monster games before the break including a 14.4 performance and a nine and 11 point contest.

D – Seth Jones ($4,900): As we continue to look for some of the top fantasy matchups tonight, Jones landed as one of the top options against the Oilers. The Oilers rank second in the NHL in fantasy points allowed to the defenseman position.

D – Ryan Suter ($4,200): We need a spot to save some cash and that position was at the defenseman slot. Suter has posted at least two fantasy points in five of his last ten games.

G – Henrik Lundqvist ($9,300): While we love Holtby tonight we elected to go a little more expensive at the other positions opening up the door for Lundqvist. The New York Rangers goalie is currently riding a seven game streak with at least 3.8 fantasy points.
