The top fantasy quarterbacks in 2013

The anchor behind every good fantasy football team is the quarterback. In the end it comes down to how good your quarterback plays and it doesn’t matter if your in a yearly fantasy league or a daily fantasy league. This season we have seen a solid lineup of quarterbacks who are must start quarterbacks each week.

Peyton Manning headlines the list of the top fantasy quarterbacks in the league. Manning has the Denver Broncos sitting at 6-0 and tied for first place in the AFC West. In six games this season Manning has thrown for over 2,179 yards, 22 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Here are the other top fantasy quarterbacks in 2013:

Drew Brees continues to put up big numbers this season. In six games this season Brees has completed 157 passes for 1,958 yards. He has completed 66 percent of his passes and has 14 touchdowns.

Philip Rivers is doing everything he can out in San Diego for the Chargers. This is after losing both Malcolm Floyd and Danario Alexander for the season. Rivers has connected 72 percent of his passes for 1,847 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Matthew Stafford has put up 1,772 yards and this has been with an injured Calvin Johnson for most of the season. Stafford has 12 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions through the teams first six games this season.

Sam Bradford gets lost in the shuffle as he only has 1,432 yards passing but has thrown 13 touchdowns. If the St. Louis Rams can get a running game going look for his stats to grow in the second half of the season.

Jay Cutler has been excellent for the Chicago Bears this season. Cutler has 1,630 yards and 12 touchdowns. In the past two weeks he has started to build rhythm with Alshon Jeffery which has created more openings for Brandon Marshall.
