MLB FanDuel Lineup for Thursday August 4th 2016

Fanduel general DFS 04-08-2016

The Major League Baseball action is thin today with only a seven game slate this evening for Daily Fantasy Owners to cash in on. Now on the positive note for FanDuel owner’s looking to cash in early there is a nice slate of afternoon baseball to double dip on today with.

In the evening slate there is two games we are turning our key attention to for building our meat of the lineup. The first of those two games will take place in Camden Yards where the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles will face off at 7:05pm ET. The second of the games will take place out West at Coors Field where the Los Angeles Dodgers will square off against the Colorado Rockies.

In Baltimore this could be a contest that could see a ton of long balls as neither Wade Miley or A.J. Griffin has been great this year. Griffin has giving up at least one home run in seven straight games to go with 14 earned runs over his last four outings. Miley on the other has yielded at least three earned runs in six of his last ten starts with nine home runs over that stretch.

Meanwhile in Colorado the Rockies continue to put up offensive numbers at home including in this series scoring 19 runs over the first two games. A lot of that success has come from Carlos Gonzalez who has two home runs, five hits and seven runs driven in over those two contests.

Here is our FanDuel Lineup Info for Thursday August 4th, 2016

FanDuel Hitters We Like On Thursday August 4th, 2016

Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies: We had to put him on this list but at the moment we don’t expect him to play after he sprained his ankle last night forcing him out of the game. If CarGo is in the lineup he will be well worth the gamble tonight.

Pedro Alvarez, Baltimore Orioles: I could have gone with a few of the left handed hitting options on the Orioles lineup tonight. In the end Alvarez is swinging a good bat in his currenty role including three home runs over his last five games to go with three multi hit performances. Lefties are also hitting .264 against Griffin with nine home runs on the year.

FanDuel Pitchers We Like On Thursday August 4th, 2016

J.A. Happ, Toronto Blue Jays: Tonight’s slate of games doesn’t hand us a ton of great options on the mound with Happ possible being the top option. The Blue Jays starter has yielded over 48 fantasy points in four of his last five starts against teams that have a good offensive arsenal in their lineup. Look for him to continue that success against the Houston Astros tonight.

FanDuel Sleepers We Like On Thursday August 4th, 2016

Ryan Vogelsong, Pittsburgh Pirates: The Pirates starter will be making his first appearance since May 23rd and first start of the season tonight against the Atlanta Braves. Now this is a complete gamble but looking at the slate this has the potential to be a low scoring contest.

Fantasy Stacks We Like On Thursday August 4th, 2016

Mark Teixeira/Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees: 5 years ago this would have been a consistent stack but neither of these guys are in their prime. That being said if they are in the lineup tonight against Bartolo Colon they should warrant a start based on their past success. The two have combined to hit nine home runs off of Colon while driving in 28 runs in 68 career at bats.

Chris Davis/Pedro Alvarez/Hyun Soo Kim, Baltimore Orioles: We suggest a stack like this if you are looking for a high risk high reward type of contest. That being said lefties have hit Griffin well on the year including picking up nine home runs.
