DraftKings Preview of Week 15 of the 2015-2016 NFL Season

Quarterbacks:

Pay up at QB!!!!  The top options have great matchups this week.  Priced at $7800 you’ll find Cam Newton and Tom Brady.  Priced a notch below them you can select Carson Palmer and Russell Wilson at $7000.  If you want the shootout game to stack look no further than Detroit at New Orleans and pencil in Matt Stafford at $6100 or Drew Brees at $6600.  With all these great options we project Caron Palmer to put up the highest QB score this week and is a nice stack option with his WR weapons.  The Patriots may be without Blount RB next game with a hip injury which could mean every TD will be via the pass.  Jonathan Stewart also left injured so Cam Newton could pick apart the Giants defense this week and put up a big number.  With the loss of Thomas Rawls we could see Russell Wilson continue his torrid pace over the last 3 weeks by connecting to Baldwin or Lockett again for multiple TDs at home in Seattle.  Great options here

Running Backs:

The running back carousel continues as the injuries pile up and new value plays present themselves this week.  Keep an eye on the injury report as guys like Jonathan Stewart and TJ Yeldon could leave 15-20 carries on the table with their absence.  The top three projected scorers this week are Devonta Freeman $7500, Adrian Peterson $7100, and LeSean McCoy $6300.  Freeman in PPR is a beast even though the Atlanta offense is struggling.  They ran into the Carolina juggernaut which may just mean these Falcon skilled guys make for low owned options this week and are GPP eligible.  Adrian Peterson has a decent matchup vs Chicago but more importantly is his carries will be there as the Vikings ride him into a possible playoff spot.  LeSean McCoy disappointed last week in his Philadelphia homecoming but as long a Karlos Williams is out again he is a high volume play.  David Johnson $5700 has a safe matchup at Philadelphia since he will be getting high volume touches and scoring chances.  Lamar Miller $6300 at San Diego is in a great spot as the Chargers are at the top of the league in fantasy points per game to RBs but Miami decides to go away from Miller for some unknown reason.  After two TDs in the 1st half vs the Giants on Monday night he just didn’t see the ball enough in the 2nd half.  Tim Hightower $3900 is a bargain at this price vs Detroit as he is the #1 back getting the carries and Theo Riddick in the same game @ New Orleans could produce with PPR scoring. Cameron Artis-Payne, Denard Robinson, Brandon Boldon, and James White are guys to monitor during the week.

Wide Receiver:

Everyone was on Odell Beckham and Antonio Brown in week 14.  Odell put on a show on Monday night with the Ray Lewis tribute after the 84 yard TD grab.  Antonio Brown didn’t find the end zone but was targeted enough.  This week both guys are risky plays.  Odell is sure to see Josh Norman of the Carolina Panthers and Antonio Brown gets a matchup with the Denver Broncos.  Julio Jones $8500 looks to be in the best matchup vs Jacksonville but he hasn’t scored a TD in 5 weeks.  DeAndre Hopkins $8500 is also in a good matchup but it looks like TJ Yates will be at QB with Hoyer concussed again.  Fade Allen Robinson $7600 at your own risk.  After a 1 catch, 4 target game people aren’t going to be very happy with Mr. Robinson.  Golden Tate $5500 gets a juicy matchup with New Orleans in the dome and has turned it up the past few weeks.  Our GPP double stack of the week is Carson Palmer with John Brown $4900 and Michael Floyd $4400.  You can get both of these guys cheap and healthy as it looks like Larry Fitzgerald’s production has declined in recent weeks.  Philadelphia is the 2nd worst defense vs WRs from a fantasy standpoint so this could pay off huge.

Tight End:

Another week with TE options at various price points.  Rob Gronkowski $7700, Jordan Reed $5900, Delanie Walker $5600, Benjamin Watson $4800, Richard Rogers $4300, and Zach Miller $3600.  Gronk may be risky at this price.  Jordan Reed and Delanie Walker are seeing a bunch of targets and present mismatches.  Jordan Reed is in a better spot with DeSean Jackson injured.  Richard Rogers is trending in the right direction and gets the favorable matchup vs the Oakland Raiders this week.  Zach Miller is the #2 pass catcher in Chicago and is a great option at his price if you want to save and pay up elsewhere.

Defense/Special Teams:

A few defenses to consider are Seattle Seahawks $4200, Kansas City Chiefs $3700, and Cincinnati Bengals $3400.  The best option is the Seahawks at home vs Cleveland.  Johnny Manziel is back at QB and Brian Hartline is now hurt also.  The Browns are throwing guys like Terrelle Pryor and Dwayne Bowe out there at WR .  Manziel is turnover prone and Tyler Lockett could always take a punt or kickoff to the house for a TD.
