FanDuel MLB Lineup for Friday July 24

The weekend has arrived with a dynamic tandem of starters taking the hill for FanDuel owners. As we all love the top hitter in the game, the key to building a winning FanDuel lineup comes through the starting pitcher you select. Tonight you have five great options to choose from.

The list of starters include Max Scherzer for the Washington Nationals, Felix Hernandez for the Seattle Mariners, Corey Kluber for the Cleveland Indians, Chris Archer for the Tampa Bay Rays and Michael Pineda for the New York Yankees. Another option you might want to consider is Scott Kazmir in his season debut for the Houston Astros against the Kansas City Royals.

For us we could go with any of these starters tonight but we have zeroed in on just one of them. That starter is Chris Archer for the Tampa Bay Rays as they welcome the Baltimore Orioles to town. Archer has posted at least five strike outs in nine of his last ten starts including four double digit performances.

Take his ability to strike out batters with the Orioles team that ranks seventh in all of baseball with 766 strikeouts. That includes Chris Davis who leads all of Major League Baseball with 117 strikeouts in 332 at bats. Along with Davis, Jimmy Paredes has struck out 79 times in 73 games.

Here is our MLB FanDuel lineup for Friday July 24th, 2015.

P – Chris Archer ($10,600): While Archer has been hit well by the Orioles this season that came at a time the teams bats were producing. Over their last Since the second half of the season started, the Orioles have scored three or fewer runs in five of six games as well five of six games prior to the All-Star game.

C – Salvador Perez ($2,200): Anytime you can fuel your lineup with an All-Star for just $2,200 you have to use them. That is the case tonight for Perez who is just $2,200 as the Kansas City Royals take on the Houston Astros. Perez has two multi hit games over the teams last four.

First Base – Albert Pujols ($4,300): Pujols has been hot since the start of the second half picking up hits in six of seven contests including three home runs and five runs batted in. Tonight he will face off against Colby Lewis who he has nine hits in 20 at bats off of with three home runs.

Second Base – Omar Infante ($2,200): The  Royals second baseman is hitting .417 for his career off of Scott Kazmir with two home runs and seven runs driven in. Add in his $2,200 salary makes him a FanDuel bargain for tonight.

Third Base – Evan Longoria ($2,500): Longoria is a steal tonight at $2,500 with the matchup against Chris Tillman. The Rays third baseman has torched Tillman in his career including six home runs out of his 15 career hits to go with nine runs driven in.

Short Stop – Eugenio Suarez ($3,400): We would have loved to use Troy Tulowitzki tonight as well as these two teams face off at Coors Field. If you go that route you will need to go cheaper than Jay Bruce in the outfield. Suarez is riding a five game hitting streak for the Cincinnati Reds entering tonight.

Outfielder – Melvin Upton ($2,200): Pay attention to the lineups to make sure Upton is in the lineup tonight for the San Diego Padres. If so he looks to be a great FanDuel Bargain against Dan Haren who he has six career home runs off in 37 at bats.

Outfielder – Billy Hamilton ($3,400): Hamilton is always a fantasy threat with his ability to swipe bases. His downside has been his ability to get on base that hasn’t been the case the last three games as he picked up six hits in 12 at bats including two doubles and two runs driven in.

Outfielder – Jay Bruce ($4,100): Hopefully the trade rumors won’t get to the Reds outfielder as he has a favorable matchup in Coors Field tonight. After a slow start, Bruce has 20 doubles, 15 home runs and 49 runs batted in.
