FanDuel MLB Lineup for Saturday July 18th

The Major League Baseball action features an eleven game lineup for FanDuel owners to cash in. This includes a few big name starters taking the mound including David Price for the Detroit Tigers, Corey Kluber for the Cleveland Indians, Jon Lester for the Chicago Cubs and Garrett Richards for the Los Angeles Angels.

Along with the top tier starting pitching options a few other lower tier starters based on salary include Chris Tillman for the Baltimore Orioles and Tom Koehler for the Miami Marlins. Tillman carries a base salary of $6,300 while putting together three double digit fantasy performances over his last ten games. The Tigers are hitting just .260 off of him in 73 at bats.
While Tillman is one sleeper option on the mound, Koehler is another solid candidate. Prior to the All-Star break the Marlins starter had posted four contests with over 13 fantasy points over his last six starts in the first half. Add that in to the fact he will get the nod over a struggling Philadelphia Phillies team makes him a great option.

Here is our complete MLB FanDuel roster for Saturday July 18th, 2015.

P – Tom Koehler ($7,000): The Marlins pitcher is a perfect buy low option that could help you cash in tonight. Koehler had posted three straight solid fantasy performances before finishing with just seven before the break. We love his chances against the Phillies.

C – Matt Wieters ($2,800): This is a gamble pick at the moment as the lineups won’t be set till the afternoon. The Baltimore Orioles catcher made one back to back start before the break. That being said he does have 15 hits in 41 at bats against David Price in his career with seven extra base hits. Other options could include Robert Perez or Tucker Barnhart at even a bigger discount.

First Base – Paul Goldschmidt ($5,100): Goldschmidt put together one of the best first halves in all of baseball. Now we expect another strong performance as the second half gets under way. Since we bargained hunted at a few of the other positions we were able to load up on top tier talent.

Second Base – Jonathan Schoop ($2,200): While it looks bad on paper simply based on the fact he is facing David Price. He is still a solid option at a great value at $2,220 that should be used in a low percentage of leagues. The Orioles second baseman has the power to put up some big offensive numbers.

Third Base – Miguel Sano ($2,600): The Minnesota Twins young third baseman has been hot at the plate since his call up. In that stretch, Sano has 14 hits in 37 at bats including four doubles and four home runs.

Short Stop – Eugenio Suarez ($2,700): Looking for another solid bargain option landed us with the Cincinnati Reds short stop. We consider monitoring the MLB daily lineups in the afternoon to ensure Suarez is in the lineup. Suarez has four home runs in just 26 games for the Reds this year.

Outfielder – Michael Cuddyer ($2,200): The New York Mets outfielder has struggled this season. That being said he has a perfect matchup on Saturday against John Lackey of the St. Louis Cardinals. Cuddyer is hitting .286 off of Lackey with four home runs in 28 at bats.

Outfielder – Mike Trout ($5,400): Anytime you have a chance to put Trout in your lineup is a great night. That being Trout and fellow teammate Albert Pujols led the American League with 26 home runs before the break.

Outfielder – Carlos Gomez ($4,600): While we could have used Andrew McCutchen we elected to go with Gomez at Milwaukee. Gomez is playing in a hitter friendly ball park while going up against a starter he has had success against. In his career, Gomez has 10 hits in 21 at bats off of Francisco Liriano with two home runs.
