Mock Fantasy Football Draft #1

Le’Veon Bell, Matt Forte both look to top the list of first round picks for fantasy owners in 2015. Since the season is still not quite over the question marks are still left around for fantasy owners to examine before entering next season. That includes whether or not Bell will catch a suspension along with the concern over Adrian Peterson’s career.

The concerns don’t stop with just those two players as many fantasy owners are worried over the health of Peyton Manning. Manning struggled down the stretch for the Denver Broncos causing the team to turn to the running game with C.J. Anderson. Along with health concerns the Broncos also brought in new head coach and offensive guru Gary Kubiak to take over the team.

Bell lands at the number one spot in our 2015 NFL Fantasy Mock Draft 1.0 followed by the Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte. Each of these running backs offer fantasy owners a great running option but also a versatile running back that can add 80 plus catches out of the backfield. This also evaluates the two of them for fantasy owners taking place in PPR leagues.

Here is our complete first round of a 12 team fantasy mock draft.

1 – Le”Veon Bell – Despite the concerns over whether or not he will get suspended doesn’t effect his draft status. Bell is a dual threat type of running back that put together one of the best three game stretches we saw all season from a running back topping the 200 yard combine mark in three straight games.

2 – Matt Forte – The Chicago Bears running back topped the 1,000 yard rushing mark along with over 800 yards receiving. Forte was a main part of the Bears offensive attack and a major security blanket for Jay Cutler in the passing attack. Forte finished the 2014 campaign with 102 catches along with four touchdown receptions.

3 – Eddie Lacy – The trend of the running back continues when Lacy comes off the board with the third pick. Lacy topped the 1,000 yard mark for the second straight season along with nine rushing touchdowns.

4 – Aaron Rodgers – Rodger is one of two quarterbacks that we expect to be taking in the first round in 2014. The Green Bay Packers quarterback put up one of his top seasons including zero interceptions in all eight home games this season.

5 – Jamaal Charles – The speedy running back for the Kansas City Chiefs is one cut from a big game each week. The concern at this point is with the team’s futures plans and how much they want Knile Davis to be involved.

6 – Calvin Johnson – Now we haven’t seen the Johnson of a few seasons ago but that doesn’t lower him on our draft board. Johnson is a mismatch waiting to happen on each play as well as one of the top red zone threats in the NFL.

7 – Rob Gronkowski – Last season concerns over his health lowered his draft status but that’t won’t happen this year. The New England Patriots tight end not only put up a huge season for the team but also played as well as any other player in the NFL.

8 – Odell Beckham Jr – The second year star for the New York Giants put up a terrific rookie season despite the fact his missed the team’s first four games. Beckham takes over as the teams number one receiver and will look to build on his 1,300 yard receiving mark in 2014.

9 – Andrew Luck – Luck is the only other quarterback that is deserving of a first round fantasy pick this season. The Indianapolis Colts quarterback missed the five thousand yard mark by 300 yards but also managed to throw 40 touchdown passes.

10 – C.J. Anderson – The Denver Broncos running back put up solid numbers this season but under Gary Kubiak those numbers could rise even more. Kubiak helped Justin Forsett not only become a starter with the Baltimore Ravens but also one that topped the 1,300 yard mark.

11 – Antonio Brown – Brown led the NFL in receiving yards this season and continues to be a difficult receiver to cover in the NFL. We expect the Steelers passing attack to continue at a high level with Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback in 2015.

12 – Jimmy Graham – The last spot was a toss up between Dez Bryant and Graham with us leaning towards the tight end. Bryant’s status could rise based on how his free agency goes but for now it is hard to pass up one of the NFL’s top tight ends.

Players falling out of the first round include Peyton Manning, Marshawn Lynch, LeSean McCoy and Arian Foster.
