Daily Fantasy Hockey players a chance to cash in. This comes on a night where the NBA offers a very limited three game slate helping many Daily Fantasy Sports Owners to turn to the seven game slate on the ice.
Tonight’s slate will look to deliver some big time fantasy options to build around including the top two overall scoring leaders as well as the leader in goals against and save percentage in the NHL. For those three one idea is to pair the three together to form a dynamic three man stack but it would limit us on spending across the board.
Those three options are Connor McDavid (Points Leader – 61), Sidney Crosby (Goal Leader (30 Goals – 60 Points ) and Devan Dubnyk (1.99 Goals Allowed Per Game & .933 Save Percentage). While all three look to be great options tonight here is our NHL Daily Fantasy Options for Tuesday February 14th, 2017.
NHL FanDuel Center Options
Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins – Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers
Crosby is one of those fantasy options you just can’t pass up on despite carrying a heavy salary cap number. Despite his recent struggles, Crosby is still a must use option on most nights as he has the abilty to put together a big fantasy performance any time he takes the ice. Over his last six games, Crosby has six double digit fantasy performances including two over the 30 point mark. Much like Crosby, McDavid is one of those Daily Fantasy Hockey options you just can’t look past. Entering tonight, the Oilers center is riding three straight double digit fantasy performances as he looks to continue that success against an Arizona Coyotes team that ranks fourth in the NHL in goals allowed per game.

Mid Tier Options: Bryan Little & Leon Draisaitl
Fantasy Sleeper Option: Travis Zajac
NHL FanDuel Winger Options
Miles Wood, New Jersey Devils – Blake Wheeler – Winnipeg Jets
Sam Reinhart, Buffalo Sabres – Zack Smith, Ottawa Senators
Now if you look to go with the combination of Crosby and McDavid it will limit what we can do at both the Winger and Defenseman positions. That being said here are four solid options that winger position that could help you cash in tonight. For us Wood and Wheeler are both excellent plays based on their matchups. Wood will be facing off against a Colorado Avalanche team that ranks 1st in goals allowed while Wheeler will look to take advantage of a Dallas Stars team ranks 2nd in the NHL. Meanwhile bothS Smith and Reinhart have been strong of late turning in double digit performances in three of their last five games.

NHL FanDuel Defenseman Options
Francois Beauchemin, Colorado Avalanche
Nikita Zaitsev, Toronto Maple Leafs
For us this was a safe position to spend cheap while freeing up the cap space to go with some of the more expensive options such as Crosby, McDavid and Wheeler. Now as we looked at tonight’s lineup of NHL contests we looked at which teams have struggled against defenseman. These numbers pointed to Beauchemin and Zaitsev as they are facing off against the 1st and 2nd ranked teams in the NHL in fantasy points allowed to opposing defenseman.
Top Tier Options: Erik Karlsson
Mid Tier Options: John Klingberg & Dustin Byfuglien
Fantasy Sleeper Option: Alexander Edler
NHL FanDuel Goalie Options
Cam Talbot, Edmonton Oilers
Between the pipes we could have gone a few directions tonight as the bottom four teams in goals scored are in action. These teams include the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, Arizona Coyotes and the Vancouver Canucks. This opened up the door for Talbot, Matt Murray, Cory Schneider as well as who ever the Devils elect to put between the pipes. In the end we elected to go with Talbot based on his salary as well as his past success against the Coyotes back in January. In that game, the Oilers picked up the win while Talbot finished with 24.8 fantasy points.
