Tom Brady and other Top Fantasy Plays for week 7

Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford both set for big time fantasy performances in week 7. Brady is coming off his best game of the season in Week 6 now gets a chance to take on the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. In the past this matchup might have been a game to stay away from Brady with the team’s loss of Stevan Ridley but the Jets have not been able to stop the pass this season.

Entering Thursday Night, the Jets have allowed a league high 15 passing touchdowns to go with 1,540 yards passing. The Jets secondary was a concern this off-season as the team failed to resign Antonio Cromartie and missed out on some top free agents including Darrelle Revis. The cornerback depth also received another big blow as second year cornerback Dee Milliner will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Despite the down season and the criticism that his level of play at the quarterback position was starting to disappear, Brady has put together 1,444 yards with 10 touchdown passes. Brady has found a rhythm over the past two games as he threw for 292 yards with two touchdowns in week 5 and followed that up with 361 yards with four touchdowns.

In Detroit, Stafford is another great play as the Lions host a struggling New Orleans Saints defense. The Saints secondary has struggled for much of the season and now have lost Jairus Byrd to the injured reserve with a knee injury. In five games this season the Saints have allowed 1,366 yards passing, nine touchdowns and only one interception.

Here are some of the other top fantasy plays for week 7.

Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers: Lacy and the Packers host a struggling Panthers team that has allowed 748 yards with five touchdowns to opposing running backs. In week 6, Giovani Bernard was able to rush for 137 yards with one touchdown.

Justin Forsett, Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens running back has been a surprise for everyone this season after the team lost starting running back Ray Rice. Forsett picked up his first 100 yard game on Sunday and should have a nice opportunity against an Atlanta Falcons defense that has allowed a league high 11 rushing touchdowns.

Golden Tate, Detroit Lions: The Lions are expected to be without Calvin Johnson for a second straight game so Tates value still remains very high. This week Tate has a chance to go against a Saints secondary that has allowed 961 yards and seven touchdowns to wide receivers they have faced.

Tim Wright, New England Patriots: Wright is a nice option at tight end despite the fact that Rob Gronkowski is the team’s main red zone target. Brady and Wright have connected in back to back games for a touchdown helping to build some chemistry.

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks quarterback is a week to week type of fantasy player but his stock should be high this week against the St. Louis Rams. Wilson is very similar in playing style of Colin Kaepernick who scorched the Rams on Monday Night Football.

Other top fantasy plays include: Derek Carr, Ben Tate, Coby Fleener, and Jordy Nelson.
