Fantasy Basketball action for December 6-7

The 2014-15 NBA Season delivers a solid lineup of games over the weekend for fantasy owners. The action gets started on Saturday at 7:30pm ET as the Philadelphia 76ers head to Detroit to take on the Pistons. This might be the weakest contest of the night as well as the entire weekend.

The rest of the action on Saturday includes a total of six games with key match ups taking place in Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles. The Bulls host the Golden State Warriors, the Rockets host the Suns and the Clippers host Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.

As you start to look around for your fantasy lineups on Saturday the first few names that stand out include Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, James Harden and DeMarcus Cousins. All five of these superstars rank in the top five in scoring along with Blake Griffin who is also in action with Paul against the Pelicans.

The difficult decision on Saturday is what fantasy players should you consider using? Here are a few stats that might make it easier for you when assembling your fantasy lineups on Saturday.

–  The Minnesota Timberwolves are allowing the second most points in the league at nearly 110 per game. This bods well for Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginoabli or any sleeper you might consider in this contest. This game could also be a game that Greg Popovich decides to rest one or more of them giving you a great sleeper on daily leagues like FanDuel.

–  The Philadelphia 76ers enter their contest Saturday allowing 24.5 assists per game making Brandon Jennings a solid option at point guard in deeper fantasy leagues as well as one week leagues as a cheaper option then some of the other top priced tag point guards.

–  Six of the twelve teams in action are allowing more than 43 rebounds per game including the 76ers, Pistons, Suns, Pelicans, Warriors and Magic.

Now to Sunday’s lineup that consists of seven games tipping off at 1pm as John Wall leads his Washington Wizards against the Boston Celtics. This could also be a solid game to go with the veteran Paul Pierce who will be returning to to Boston to take on his former team.

Another big name is in action on Sunday as well as the NBA leading scorer Kobe Bryant welcomes the Pelicans to Los Angeles. Other top scorers in action on Sunday include Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Aldridge. All those big names sound wonderful but for daily fantasy owners on DraftKings and FanDuel it will simply come down to sleepers.

Here are some key stats to consider heading into Sundays actions.

–  The Los Angeles Lakers are allowing the most points per game as well as the most assists per game opening up the realm of combo play with Anthony Davis and point guard Jrue Holiday.

–  This will mark the third game of the season the Oklahoma City Thunder will have both Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant on the court at the same time. It will also come against a struggling Detroit Pistons team.

Here are some bargains for the action over the weekend to consider.

Wesley Johnson, Los Angeles Lakers (Sunday): Johnson will have a price tag around the $4,500 mark despite posting three games with over 20 points in his last four.

Boris Diaw, San Antonio Spurs (Saturday): Diaw struggled against the Brooklyn Nets in his last game but should be able to put up some numbers against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
