MLB FanDuel Lineup for Friday June 17th, 2016

FanDuel MLB general logo 29-03-2016 650X80

The MLB action will be flowing this Friday Evening, as 28 of the 30 teams will be in action to open up the weekend. This action includes a few solid options on the mound including Jeff Samardzija, Chris Archer, Cole Hamels and Masahiro Tanaka. Meanwhile at the plate big bats like Chris Davis, David Ortiz and Edwin Encarnacion look to anchor offensive fireworks.

Now before we get to todays information we were looking back at some of the winning lineups yesterday that took home top honors in a few tournaments. Of the top 10 lineups in one of those tournaments no owner took one of the top fantasy starters as they all elected to go with either J.A. Happ ($8,000) or C.C. Sabathia ($7,200).

Meanwhile at the plate eight of the top ten teams in that same tournament played at least two stacks that consisted of at least two players from the same team along with one additional lineup that consisted of just one two player stack. One of those stacks consisted of four players from two teams, while two other lineups consisted of three stacks of two players. For us it is hard to imagine not going with building around stacks as it has shown to be a solid payoff.

FanDuel Hitters We Like On Friday June 17th, 2016

Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles power hitting first baseman is one player that you can’t pass up on each night. While he is a true hot/cold hitter he has been on fire against the Toronto Blue Jays this season going seven for 21 with four home runs while driving in ten runs. Along with those numbers he has hit Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez well for his career going six for ten with three career home runs.

Edwin Encarnacion, Toronto Blue Jays: Now you will have to make a difficult decision as you can only use one of these power hitting options. The Blue Jays first baseman is red hot hitting three home runs in three straight gams while picking up six over his last six games. Encarnacion has also hit very well at Camden Yards over the past three seasons picking up six doubles and eight home runs to go with 21 runs batted in.

Pitchers We Like On Friday June 17th, 2016

Jeff Samardzija, San Francisco Giants: The Giants starter is a solid fantasy option tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. Entering tonight, Samardzija has held the current Rays lineup to just 12 hits over 63 at bats while striking out 18 batters.

Robbie Ray, Arizona Diamondbacks: After looking at the trends yesterday we started looking at starters that sat between the $7k and $8k mark that could turn in a solid fantasy performance. That option for us tonight is Ray who is coming off one of his best outings of the year.

Fantasy Sleepers We Like on Friday June 17th, 2016

Zach Davies, Milwuakee Brewers: It is hard to imagine passing up on the Brewers starter at just $7k. Davies has turned in at least 35 fantasy points in fourth straight games for his fantasy owners. We also like  Julio Urias for the Los Angeles Dodgers as well as John Gant for the Atlanta Braves as well for a deep fantasy sleeper.

The Stack List:

Chris Davis & Manny Machado: The two players combined to pick up 13 hits against the Blue Jays in their recent four game faceoff. Five of those hits went for home runs while they combined to drive in 11 runs.

Edwin Encarnacion & Josh Donaldson: For us it is hard not to look at these two as solid options as well. We also would consider adding Jose Bautista to this mix as well if you elect to go with Chris Davis. The two Blue Jays stars have combined to hit four home runs over their last two games.

Other stacks to consider include Victor Martinez/Miguel Cabera and Nolan Arenado/Carlos Gonzalez.
