MLB FanDuel Lineup for Thursday June 23rd, 2016

The Major League Baseball action is limited tonight but that won’t back us away from looking to cash in with FanDuel. In all just ten teams are in action for the night clip contest starting at 7:10pm ET. Now good news is for people looking to cash in on some afternoon baseball we do have a solid four game slate getting underway around lunch time.

Tonight’s biggest question is finding the right solution on the mound to help us all cash in. At the top of the list sits Jon Lester who looks like the clear choice as he will look to lead his Chicago Cubs to a win over the Marlins in Miami. The Cubs starter has turned in five straight starts with at least 442 fantasy points while two of those starts went for over 60.

Meanwhile the other top option on the mound is Zack Greinke for the Arizona Diamondbacks. While the Diamondbacks ace would save us $1,500 towards our salary cap he does have a difficult task as he will be pitching against the Colorado Rockies tonight at Coors Field.

Outside of these two options there is no real top option on the mound tonight. Could Matt Harvey return to his old form? Will Tim Lincecum build on his first start for the Los Angeles Angels? Could Christian Friedrich be a nice sleeper option $6,800 to post his fourth forty plus fantasy start over his last six outings?

With all those questions being out their lets just dive right in to our FanDuel options for tonight.

FanDuel Hitters We Like On Thursday June 23rd, 2016

Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona Diamondbacks: Now for us this option is simply based on the fact that this game is being played at Coors Field. Than you look at Goldschmidt’s 14 home runs and 45 runs batted in on the year and it makes even more sense. In 175 career at bats at Coors Field, Goldschmidt is hitting .295 with 12 doubles and six home runs.

Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies: If you are going with Greinke tonight you might not like this matchup. For us though how can we look past the Rockies first baseman tonight at home against a starter he has hit well in his career. In his career Gonzo has 12 hits in 31 career at bats against the Diamondbacks starter with four of those hits going for home runs.

FanDuel Pitchers We Like On Thursday June 23rd, 2016

Jon Lester, Chicago Cubs: Despite his struggles against the current group of Marlins hitters we still like him as one of the top fantasy options tonight on the mound. In the calendar month of June, Lester has allowed just four earned runs over 30 innings of work. Those numbers should speak for themselves as we all build our FanDuel lineups tonight.

FanDuel Fantasy Sleepers We Like on Thursday June 23rd, 2016

Matt Wisler, Atlanta Braves: Wisler makes perfect sense as a cheap option on the mound for two reasons. The first is the fact he went eight innings against this same New York Mets team back on May 3rd finishing up with 48 fantasy points. The second of those reasons is the struggles the Mets have had on offense scoring just 10 runs over their last six games.  Also consider Kendall Graveman against the Oakland A’s who have scored just 12 runs over their last six games.

Travis Janokowski, San Diego Padres: The Padres outfielder is coming off a solid fantasy two game series against the Baltimore Orioles. While he is a gamble that is why he lands on our Fantasy Sleeper List tonight because we like his potential to get on base, steal bases and score runs.

The Stack List:

Carlos Gonzalez/Nolan Arenado/Nick Hundley: We could have easily put four Rockies together tonight despite the fact they will be facing off against Greinke. For us it was simple Gonzo has hit Grienke well in his career, Arenado leads MLB in home runs and Hundley has three straight double digit fantasy perfomances.

Paul Goldschmidt/Nick Ahmed/Jean Segura: For us the Diamondbacks top options are Jake Lamb and Paul Goldschmidt. That being said we like Arenado over Lamb tonight that is why we left him off of this list. We expect some runs to be scored tonight espically from the Diamondbacks as Eddie Butler has struggled allowing at least three runs in four straight starts while two of those games went for six and eight runs.
