The 2016 Major League Baseball season is in full swing as we look to cash in on some daily fantasy action on FanDuel tonight. Tonight’s MLB lineup of games features a solid nine game slate to build a lineup around.  (We have excluded the afternoon games.)

A slate of games that features a few solid options on the mound including Johnny Cueto for the San Francisco Giants, Jon Lester for the Chicago Cubs, Scott Kazmir for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Justin Verlander for the Detroit Tigers. Meanwhile a fantasy sleeper on the mound we like is Jon Niese for the Pittsburgh Pirates at home against the St. Louis Cardinals in a pitchers ballpark.

Meanwhile at the plate we have a ton of solid options to build around including a big name guys that opened the season with a big bang. One of those players is Brandon Belt for the Giants after reaching base four times in the team’s first game of the season and finishing with 27 fantasy points. The other big time fantasy performance came from Adrian Gonzalez who also posted 27 fantasy points.

Here is our MLB FanDuel Lineup for Tuesday April 5th, 2016.

P – Jose Quintana ($8,300): Quintana is a solid option on the mound on Tuesday Night against the Oakland A’s. Entering this game Quintana has held the A’s to just 12 hits in 70 career at bats against him.

C – Yadier Molina ($2,400): Sticking with past success landed us with Molina as a solid fantasy bargain. Molina has picked up seven hits in career 22 career at bats against Jon Niese including a home run

1B – Miguel Cabrera ($4,400): We debated going with Paul Goldschmidt as well before landing with the Detroit Tigers first baseman. Cabrera is entering the 2016 healthy making him a must use fantasy option night in and night out.

2B – Rougned Odor ($2,800): Odor continued his early success last season improving his totals in hits, doubles, triples, home runs and runs batted in. The Texas Rangers second baseman has a very favorable matchup against Hisashi Iwakuma who has five hits off in 11 career at bats.

3B – Kyle Seager ($3,300): Looking at a few of the contests that were taking place tonight we turned our attention to a hitter friendly park. That landed us with Seager tonight for the Seattle Mariners as they will take on the Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington Stadium.

SS – Brandon Crawford ($2,700): After an impressive opening game of the season the Giants the team will look to continue that success tonight against the Milwauakee Brewers. Crawford opened the season the season with one hit as well as a run scored and a walk.

OF – Nelson Cruz ($4,000): After opening the season with zero hits in three at bats, Cruz will look to bounce back tonight. Cruz has posted back to back 40 plus home run seasons making him one of the biggest power threats in the game.

OF – Jorge Soler ($2,600): We expect the Chicago Cubs to be one of the top scoring clubs in all of Major League Baseball making Soler a solid fantasy option tonight. The Cubs outfielder opened up the season with a 12 point fantasy performance including a run batted in and a run scored.

OF – Jose Bautista ($4,500): Bautista has posted back to back games with nine fantasy points to open the season. The Blue Jays outfielder is entering his final season with the Blue Jays while trying to post another big season together to cash in another big pay day.
