MLB FanDuel Lineup for Tuesday July 5th 2016

Fanduel MLB WFBC 2016The 2016 Major League Baseball season rolls on tonight with a near full slate for FanDuel owners to cash in on. In all 28 of the 30 Major League Clubs are in action tonight including some very solid starting pitching options starting with Madison Bumgarner for the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants ace has been on the mediocre side of the fantasy world of late posting just 31 fantasy points in each of his last two starts. Along with that back on May 28th, 2016, Bumgarner turned in just 33 fantasy points against the same Colorado Rockies team he will be facing tonight.

Now the fantasy options don’t stop their as you have a few other top tier options you could go with as well including Carlos Carrasco of the Cleveland Indians and David Price for the Boston Red Sox. Carrasco might be the more appealing option after he turned in a brilliant 73 point fantasy performance against the Toronto Blue Jays in his last outing.

At the plate the big question of the night is whether or not we should build our lineup around Carlos Gonzalez. Cargo is a dangerous pick with Bumgarner on the mound and one that we only suggest going with if you elect to skip the Giants ace on the mound. In his career the Rockies slugger has 17 career hits in 53 at bats including five home runs to go with 10 runs batted in.

Who will get the best of the other tonight, will it be Bumgarner or Cargo?

FanDuel Hitters We Like On Tuesday July 5th, 2016

Yan Gomes, Cleveland Indians: Gomes is another option we like at the plate tonight based on his past success against Anibal Sanchez. In 16 career at bats, Gomes has seven hits off of the Detroit Tigers starter with two of those hits leaving the ball field.

Danny Espinosa, Washington Nationals: The Nationals short stop has been on a tear of late posting six double digit fantasy performances over his last 10 games. That includes two 54 point contests over his last five games. Look for that success to continue tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers.

FanDuel Pitchers We Like On Tuesday July 5th, 2016

Dallas Kuechel, Houston Astros: For us this is a solid option tonight as he warrants a salary of just $8,300. Along with the salary the Astros starter has been solid posting at least 30 fantasy points in five of his last seven games. If Keuchel can find a way to turn in a start like we saw last year we could see a big time fantasy outing tonight.

FanDuel Fantasy Sleepers We Like on Tuesday July 5th, 2016

Mike Foltynewicz, Atlanta Braves: We could have even threw Zach Efflin’s name into the bunch for a fantasy sleeper tonight as the Braves and Philadelphia Phillies square off. Entering tonight the Phillies rank 29th in team OPS, 25 in Home Runs and 29th in Runs scored.  Meanwhile for Efflin, the Braves rank below them in each of those stats as well.

The Stack List:

Jose Altuve / Evan Gattis / Colby Rasmus, Houston Astros: Looking at past success this trio of Astros have hit Taijuan Walker well in their careers. The three have combined to go 18 for 52 with four home runs.

Salvador Perez / Eric Hosmer / Alex Gordon, Kansas City Royals: When we looked for stacks for tonight we looked at pitchers who have struggled to give up the long ball. That landed us with looking at the Royals as they will face off against R.A. Dickey who ranks 5th in Major League Baseball with 19 home runs allowed. You could also look to the Royals for a few bargains as well.
