MLB FanDuel Lineup for Wednesday May 25th, 2016

The midweek daily fantasy action on FanDuel continues with a solid eight game MLB lineup to cash in on. Now before we all get excited there is one big question mark surrounding those eight games. That big question mark is the lack of top tier fantasy options at starting pitcher.

Typically the starting pitcher slot is one of those we like to go with the sure bet option. The problem is that won’t be the case on Wednesday Night as no Clayton Kershaw, David Price or Madison Bumgarner will be taking to the mound. This leaves us to wonder if we should load up at the plate and bargain shop for a change on the mound.

FanDuel Hitters We Like On Wednesday Night

Starlin Castro, New York Yankees: Looking at players who have had success against starters they will be facing off on Wednesday Night landed us with the Yankees second baseman against Marco Estrada. In his career Castro is 12 for 27 off of Estrada with five extra base hits.

Mookie Betts, Boston Red Sox: For us it was a toss up between Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr. In the end, Betts has been red hot turning in four multi hit games over his last five and six over his last ten games. That type of production has helped him reward his FanDuel owners with fantasy games of 57.1, 12.2, 15.4, 30.7, 30.9 and 18.7 over his last ten games.

Brandon Guyer, Tampa Bay Rays: Sticking with players who have been hot for their fantasy owners landed us with the Rays outfielder. Guyer has turned in four double digit fantasy outputs over his last ten games while picking up five multi hit games over that stretch.

Pitchers We Like On Wednesday Night

Steven Wright, Boston Red Sox: Outside of one rough start over his first eight outings this year the Red Sox starter has been very good. In those eight starts, Wright has turned in three games of at least 50 fantasy points to go along with four games with at least 30 fantasy points.

Junior Guerra, Milwaukee Brewers: While Guerra might not be the big time name that many fantasy owners like to roll with but he has been good of late for his fantasy owners. This includes posting 42 and 57 fantasy points in his last two outings. On Wednesday Night, Guerra will have a chance to face off against an Atlanta Braves team that ranks in the bottom of nearly every offensive category.

The Stack List:

Jose Bautista/Edwin Encarnacion/Josh Donaldson: On Wednesday Night the fireworks could be going off early and often in New York. The Toronto Blue Jays big three have combined to go 25 for 69 off of Ivan Nova in their careers with nine extra base hits and 14 runs batted in.

Starlin Castro/Carlos Beltran/Jacoby Ellsbury: Of the group Beltran is the only option hitting below .300 off of Estrada in their careers but he has picked up three home runs off of him. In the end the three have combined to go 25 for 70 with 11 extra base hits and eight runs batted in.
