NBA FanDuel Lineup for Christmas 2016

Fanduel Jingle Bowl 16-12-2016

Santa Claus is coming to town tonight delivering FanDuel owners an exciting five game NBA slate to cash in on Christmas Day. The NBA action gets started at 12pm ET as the Boston Celtics travel to New York to take on the Knicks.

While that game looks to deliver some big time fantasy performances the rest of the slate also delivers some big time fantasy options. Those options include an NBA Finals rematch in Cleveland where LeBron James will look to lead his Cavaliers over Golden State Warriors.

Looking at those NBA matchups the FanDuel options are solid from the top tier options to the Fantasy Sleeper pick.  At the top of those options sits Russell Westbrook at the point guard position. Westbrook enters this Christmas on a hot streak posting at least 62 fantasy points in four straight games including 72.7 in his last outing.

While Westbrook is sure to be a lock on a ton of FanDuel lineups on Christmas Day we also suggest looking at the Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio. Rubio is a much cheaper option but has posted over 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games.

With all that said here is our top NBA FanDuel Options for Sunday December 25th, 2016.

Point Guards – Russell Westbrook & Ricky Rubio

We love the point guard position this Christmas with or without Chris Paul in the Clippers lineup. At the top of the wish list at point guard this Christmas sits Westbrook but we also see a ton of value in is Rubio as well as Austin Rivers a solid fantasy sleeper. For Rubio he continues to see a ton of minutes while Rivers is expected to see additional minutes as Chris Paul battles with his hamstring injury.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Russell Westbrook

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Ricky Rubio & Derrick Rose

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Austin River

Shooting Guards  – Jamal Crawford & Avery Bradley

With no top tier fantasy option taking the floor this Christmas Day at shooting guard we see a ton of a value at the position. This includes both Crawford (Fantasy Sleeper) as well as Bradley as options who should see a ton of opportunities. For Crawford his value is even higher if Paul misses a second straight game while also taking advantage of a Lakers team that ranks second in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to the position. Meanwhile Bradley also has a very favorable matchup against a Knicks team allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: N/A

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Zach LaVine & Dwyane Wade

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Danny Green

Small Forwards – LeBron James & Kevin Durant

The excitement continues to build for what looks to be that one game everyone will be watching come Christmas Day. For us this game also delivers the top fantasy matchup of the night as two of the games top stars of the game clash at the small forward position. While it will be impossible to build around Westbrook as well as these two we do suggest building lineups with at least one of them. James has posted over 46 fantasy points in three of his last four games while Durant has posted over 42 fantasy points in four of his last five games.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: LeBron James & Kevin Durant

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Andrew Wiggins

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like:  Luc Richard Mbah a Moute

Power Forwards – Kristaps Porzingis & Enes Kanter

Now the Power Forward position is one of those slots where we see very little value outside of a few players. Two of the players we really like is Porzingis and Kanter while Kevin Love should have an opportunity to pickup some rebounds. Now for Porzingis his injury status is a little worrisome but reports indicate he will suit up against a Celtics team that ranks 7th in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to opposing power forwards.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Kevin Love

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Gorgui Dieng

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Nikola Mirotic

Center Option – DeAndre Jordan

How can we look past Jordan against a Lakers team that ranks third in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to opposing centers this season. Along with Jordan we also like Al Horford and Karl-Anthony Towns as solid options as well. Outside of those options the center position is a gamble slot where you could go a few directions including Steven Adams and Zaza Pachulia as high risk high reward options.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Karl Anthony-Towns

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Steven Adams

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Joakim Noah
