NBA FanDuel Lineup for Friday February 26th 2016

The weekend has arrived giving us a chance to secure a spot in the FanDuel World Fantasy Basketball Championship. That one opportunity will come on Friday Night as one lucky FanDuel owner will have the opportunity to qualify for a VIP trip to Hollywood for a chance to take home a top prize of $200k.

The daily fantasy action won’t stop their either on Friday Night as both FanDuel and DraftKings will offer a ton of contests for other opportunities as well. The key to that success will start around a solid eight game slate featuring a few key fantasy options including DeMarcus Cousins, LeBron James and Chris Paul.

Along with those three another key fantasy option on FanDuel on Friday Night is point guard John Wall. Wall has been on a tear for fantasy owners posting at least 45 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games. One of those outings came back on February 5th against the same Philadelphia 76ers team that he will be facing on Friday Night.

Along with Wall the Wizards have a few other fantasy options that can help us cash in with. One of those other options is Markieff Morris who will be going up against a 76ers defense that is allowing the fourth most fantasy points to the power forward position. The third option we like in this contest is Marcin Gortat at the center position against a 76ers team allowing a league high in fantasy points to the center position.

While we love the Wizards on Friday Night against the 76ers there are a few other key fantasy options we also like including Dennis Schroder, J.J. Redick and Hollis Thompson.

That being said here is our NBA FanDuel lineup for Friday February 26th, 2016.

PG – John Wall ($9,700): Wall might not be the top fantasy option on the board on Friday Night but he should reward us all with another big game. Another option is to consider teaming Wall up with Chris Paul at the point guard position.

PG – Dennis Schroder ($5,300): Schroder has slowly played himself into a bigger role with the Atlanta Hawks despite being behind Jeff Teague. That being said Schroder has turned in at least 27 fantasy points in four straight games heading into their matchup against a Chicago Bulls team allowing the third most fantasy points in the NBA to the point guard position.

SG – J.J. Redick ($4,900): We debated using Jamal Crawford as well at the shooting guard position but Redick has been more consistent over the past month for the Los Angeles Clippers. Either of these options are a great option on Friday Night as they face off against a Sacramento Kings allowing the most fantasy points a game to opposing shooting guards.

SG – Nicolas Batum ($6,700): Batum has shown us over the past few weeks he can be a big time fantasy option night in and night out. The Charlotte Hornets shooting guard had a three game run of 40 plus fantasy points recently as well as a 34.4 point contest just a few nights ago.

SF – LeBron James ($9,900): We tossed around a few of the big names for Friday Night but in the end we elected to go with James against the Toronto Raptors. James has posted more than 40 fantasy points in nine of the Cavaliers last ten games.

SF – Hollis Thompson ($3,700): Thompson is a big time fantasy gamble on Friday Night but after back to back 22 plus fantasy performances. We could also look at Otto Porter as well in this matchup as the 76ers rank fourth and the Wizards fifth in fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards.

PF – Kenneth Faried ($5,800): At the power forward position we tossed around a few names including Dirk Nowitzki who Faried will be going up against on Friday Night. Faried gets a shot against a Dallas Mavericks team that has struggled to slow down opposing power forwards this season.

PF – Aaron Gordon ($6,200): How can we not go with Gordon on Friday Night after the Orlando Magic guard posted at least 30 fantasy points in seven straight games. We could also consider going with Kevin Love or even Kristaps Porzingis as a few of the other solid fantasy options.
C – Marcin Gortat ($7,000): Coming off a disappointing 19.6 fantasy points in his last outing we are looking to bounce back with him on Friday. Gortat has one of the top fantasy matchups of all players on Friday Night. If you elect to go with Cousins we wouldn’t blame you as he is a hard one to pass up on but you will have to go cheaper than Wall or James to make the salary work.
