NBA FanDuel Lineup for Wednesday January 18th 2017

Fanduel NBA WFBBC 2017 08-01-2017

The NBA action bounces back on Wednesday Night delivering an action packed nine game slate for Daily Fantasy Owners to cash in on with FanDuel. Tonight’s slate features a headline of top tier fantasy options including seven total players averaging over the 40 point fantasy mark with three of those options delivering more than 51 per contest.

Now as we start to look at tonight’s lineup of games we will be paying close attention a few games that have the potential to not only high scoring contests but games that should produce a ton of fantasy points. One of those games is the Milwuakee Bucks heading to Houston to take on the Rockets.

This game features the top two fantasy scorers at the shooting guard position while we see a ton of value from players like Jabari Parker, Michael Beasley, Trevor Ariza and Greg Monroe. Meanwhile the other game that we expect to see a ton of fireworks in features the Oklahoma City Thunder traveling to take on the Golden State Warriors.

In this contest we love the idea of pairing Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook together the big cap hit could be difficult. Meanwhile in this contest we see Joffrey Lauvergne as a big time fantasy sleeper threat with Steven Adams ruled out while Klay Thompson could be the threat to watch for the Warriors.

Here is our top Daily Fantasy Basketball Options for Wednesday January 18th, 2017 on FanDuel.

Point Guards – Elfrid Payton & Derrick Rose

Now don’t start to think we don’t like Westbrook, Curry or even Isaiah Thomas tonight at the point guard position. We like them all but we see the fantasy value in both Payton and Rose while leaving us with a little extra cap space. For Payton he will look to continue his recent success against a New Orleans Pelicans team that ranks third in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to the position. Meanwhile, Rose had a solid game back on Christmas Day against the Boston Celtics finishing with 32.5 fantasy points.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Russell Westbrook

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Dennis Schroder

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Sergio Rodriguez (If T.J. McConnell is out)

Shooting Guards – Nicolas Batum & C.J. McCollum

The shooting guard position is one of those positions where we could toss around as many as six players who we must build our lineup around. In the end it came down to their matchups and salary cap numbers that helped us land with Batum & McCollum. After missing two straight games, Batum posted 31 and 37 fantasy points in back to back games while seeing over 32 minutes. McCollum on the other hand has the second best fantasy matchup of the night at the position.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: James Harden & Giannis Antetokounmpo

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Klay Thompson

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Jodie Meeks

Small Forwards – Kevin Durant & DeMarre Carroll

In the end we just couldn’t look past all of the top fantasy options as we landed with Durant as he looks to take on his former team. Look for the Warriors to feed the ball early and often to Durant to allow him to make a loud statement. Add that with the fact he has not scored less than 41 fantasy points in six straight games makes him a great option. Carroll on the other hand is a high risk high reward type player but in GPP formats we love his fantasy potential. You could also consider Carmelo Anthony as the Knicks will be without Kristaps Porzingis.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Carmelo Anthony

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Trevor Ariza

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Michael Beasley & Mindaugas Kuzminskas

Power Forwards – Terrence Jones & Zach Randolph

Here is that position where you can find a ton of upside fantasy value in the mid to low tier options while providing you cap space to build around the point guard, shooting guard and small forward positions. Jones has posted over 32 fantasy points in two of his last three games. If for some reason Anthony Davis is ruled out, Jones becomes a near lock at the power forward position. Randolph on the other hand has turne din over 33 fantasy points in four of his last five games leading up to his solid fantasy matchup against an average Washington Wizards defense.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like:  Anthony Davis (Monitor Injury Status)

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Jabari Parker & Enes Kanter

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like:  Anthony Tolliver
Center Option – Greg Monroe or Nikola Vucevic

If you elect to g with exactly the positions we like you will need to anchor Monroe in your lineup. That being said if you mix and match we could see either of these guys being solid options with Monroe offering the higher chance for a 6 or 7 time fantasy output game. Vucevic on the other hand has been more consistent scoring at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last five games.

Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: DeMarcus Cousins

Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Al Horford & Mason Plumlee

Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Joffrey Lauvergne (Deep Fantasy Sleeper)
