NBA FanDuel Lineup for Wednesday October 26th 2016

Fanduel NBA roadtrip contest 26-10-2016

The second night of the 2016-17 NBA season is wide open delivering an exciting 10 game slate. While the slate lacks premier top teams facing off it does provide us with some excellent fantasy matchups to look at. One of those matchups is in Philadelphia where the 76ers will look to slow down the Oklahoma City Thunder.

For us this is the first place we are going to start our NBA FanDuel lineup from selecting Russell Westbrook for the Thunder. While we aren’t 100% sure how the Thunder will come together now that Kevin Durant is gone we do know Westbrook has shown he can make plays with or without him over the past few season.

The second of those NBA games we like tonight is the Houston Rockets heading to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers. For us we could go a few routes in this game including James Harden as well as someone like D’Angelo Russell or Jordan Clarkson if they can get hot early to keep the Lakers in this game.

Here are our NBA options we like tonight to build our NBA FanDuel Lineup around.

PG – Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder: Westbrook is carrying the high price tag but he is worth every penny of it now that he is the main scoring threat in OKC. Add that with the fact he is playing a 76ers team that has been historically bad over the past few season makes him a sure lock.

PG – Mike Conley, Memphis Grizzlies: We strongly considered going with Isaiah Thomas as well but would require us to step down from Anthony Davis to someone like Ryan Anderson or even Tobias Harris to free up the additional salary. In the end the Grizzlies handed out a ton of money to Conley to be a top threat at the position.

SG – Buddy Hield, New Orleans Pelicans: One thing is for certain and that is you need a few FanDuel bargains when trying to stack your lineup with high priced options. For us despite coming off the bench to start the season Hield should be a interesting option as he showed he can provide a threat to score as well as to assist and grab rebounds.

SG – Eric Gordon, Houston Rockets: Now it is going to be hard to say we didn’t not want to use James Harden but we expect the Lakers to put a ton of attention on him to limit his role while the Rockets will need the veteran to be a scorer as well as facilitator opening up the scoring opportunities for players like Gordon.

SF – Luol Deng, Los Angeles Lakers: Here is another one of those teams in rebuilding mode that will need one of the veterans step up. While Deng is battling a knee issue he is expected to play tonight and should see a steady dose of playing time.

SF – Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Brooklyn Nets: The Nets will need someone to be a true threat to score and produce night in and night out. For us that guy could be Hollis-Jefferson as many expect the small forward to play near 30 minutes a night giving him a huge opportunity to produce on a very bad Nets team.

PF – Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans: The Power Forward is a thin position tonight with very few top tier options available. That being said Davis is on the floor and when healthy he has shown that he is one of the games top players while being a true MVP threat each season.

PF – Nemanja Bjelica, Minnesota Timberwolves: Here is our FanDuel Fantasy Sleeper of the night. While we expect him to come off the bench for most of the season he does provide the ability to score from three point making him a versatile big man threat.
C – Al Horford, Boston Celtics: Tonight is the new beginning for Horford who will make his season debut in Boston after joining them in free agency this summer. For us Horford has a really nice matchup against a Brooklyn Nets team that has a ton of questions including if they have a solid big man. This should allow Horford to control the boards providing fantasy owners with a ton of production tonight.
