Fanduel Fantasy Hockey Lineup for Tuesday January 20th

fanduel-nhl11-300x250
The NHL features an eight game slate tonight for FanDuel owners to cash in on. The list of NHL games includes the Edmonton Oilers heading to Washington to take on Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. The other fantasy matchup we like is the Pittsburgh Penguins heading to Philadelphia to take on the Flyers.

Starting in Washington, the Capitals have a great fantasy matchup against an Oilers team allowing the second most goals per game at 3.28. This gives you an option to stack a few players from this team including Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Brooks Laich to name a few. The fantasy plays from this contest can vary based on the other star players from around the NHL tonight.

In the Flyers and Penguins matchup you have four of the top five point leaders in the NHL that includes Jakub Voracek, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Claude Giroux. All four of those options are great options tonight. We have elected to go with Crosby out of those mix but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Here is our complete FanDuel NHL Lineup for tonight.

LW – Alexander Ovechkin ($9,300): The Capitals star has been red hot of late finding the net in eight of his last ten games. This stat along with the team’s matchup against a Oilers team allowing the second most goals per game makes this an easy start for fantasy owners tonight.

LW – Brandon Saad ($5,700): The idea of riding a hot player continues as Saad has been red hot over the Chicago Blackhawks last four games for fantasy owners. Over that stretch the left winger finished with two eight plus fantasy performances to go with a four point and five point night.

RW – Eric Fehr ($3,700): Fehr is a great fantasy play against the Oilers as well as a great cap savings play for your fantasy team. When you look at Fehr’s stats over his last ten games minus one contest where he failed to reach a full fantasy point he has been outstanding including games with 12.6 and 9.7 fantasy points.

RW – Curtis Lazar ($3,000): Looking for a cheap fantasy play landed us with Curtis Lazar of the Ottawa Senators against the New York Rangers. Lazar has been inconsistent but has six games with some type of fantasy performance for his owners.

C – Sidney Crosby ($9,900): We mentioned it earlier that Crosby along with his teammate Malkin were great plays. We elected to Crosby based on his eight total points including four goals over his last three games as the deciding factor.

C – Jonathan Towes ($7,300): The Chicago Blackhawks are another great team to build your fantasy lineup around tonight against an Arizona Coyotes team allowing 3.27 goals per game. Towes has been light on the goal side of late but has been setting up his teammate resulting in fantasy points.

D – John Carlson ($4,500): Looking for a cheap option that scores at the defenseman position and that is exactly what Carlson is. Over his last ten games Carlson has four fantasy performances with over three fantasy points with a perfect fantasy matchup tonight.

D – David Schlemko, ($3,100): As we built are lineup we were looking for a real cheap play and Schlemko based on his recent fantasy performance is a great option. Over his last six games, the Stars defenseman has registered five games with over at least one fantasy point.

G – Antti Raanta ($8,500): The Blackhawks goalie has been slated to start tonight against the Arizona Coyotes. This is always a difficult position to pick early in the day without knowing exactly which goalies are starting. Nonetheless we like either Raanta or the Corey Crawford tonight for the Blackhawks so monitor the status of both goal keepers for the Blackhawks.
